2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. 2021-09-28ARM: dts: renesas: Fix SMSC Ethernet compatible valuesGeert Uytterhoeven
According to schematics, and confirmed by ID_REV register contents, the Ethernet controllers on various development board are not SMSC LAN9220, but different variants: - KZM-A9-Dual and KZM-A9-GT: LAN9221, - Bock-W and Marzen: LAN89218AQ. Update the compatible values accordingly. 2020-02-10ARM: dts: renesas: Group tuples in operating-points propertiesGeert Uytterhoeven
To improve human readability and enable automatic validation, the tuples in the "operating-points" properties of CPU nodes should be grouped. Fix this by grouping the tuples of these properties using angle brackets in the DTS files for all Renesas SoCs that don't already do so. 2016-06-29ARM: dts: kzm9g: Update console parametersGeert Uytterhoeven
Change the console alias to "serial0", for consistency with other boards (the first unlabeled serial port is always called "serial0"). This does change the serial console from /dev/ttySC4 to /dev/ttySC0. Add the serial port config to "chosen/stdout-path", which requires referring to the port by alias. Drop the "console=" parameters from the kernel command line, as they're no longer needed for DT-based platforms. 2016-06-14ARM: dts: kzm9g: Name serial port pfc subnode after device nameGeert Uytterhoeven
Name the Pin Function Controller subnode for SCIFA4 after its device name, instead of after the serial port alias. This avoids conflicts when adding support for more serial ports later, either here or in a DT overlay. 2016-05-30ARM: dts: kzm9g: SCIFA4 supports RTS/CTS hardware flow controlGeert Uytterhoeven
On the KZM-A9-GT development board, the RTS and CTS pins of the debug console SCIFA4 are wired to the CP2102 Serial-USB bridge. Reflect this in the DTS by adding the "uart-has-rtscts" property to the scifa4 device node. 2016-04-25ARM: dts: kzm9g: Configure NMI key as wake-up sourceGeert Uytterhoeven

2016-03-28ARM: dts: kzm9g: use generic pinctrl propertiesSimon Horman
Since 16ccaf5bb5a5 ("pinctrl: sh-pfc: Accept standard function, pins and groups properties") renesas pfc drivers accept generic "function", "pins" and "groups" properties. This patch updates the kzm9g device tree to use the generic properties. Signed-off-by: Simon Horman <horms+renesas@verge.net.au> Acked-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert+renesas@glider.be>
2015-10-23ARM: dts: shmobile/r8a7xxx: replace gpio-key, wakeup with wakeup-source propertySudeep Holla
Though the keyboard driver for GPIO buttons(gpio-keys) will continue to check for/support the legacy "gpio-key,wakeup" boolean property to enable gpio buttons as wakeup source, "wakeup-source" is the new standard binding. This patch replaces the legacy "gpio-key,wakeup" with the unified "wakeup-source" property in order to avoid any futher copy-paste duplication. 2015-02-24ARM: shmobile: kzm9g dts: Move Ethernet node to BSCGeert Uytterhoeven
Move the Ethernet node from the root of the device tree to the BSC node, as it's connected to the Bus State Controller. This allows the system to know the right position of the Ethernet node in the clock and PM domain hierarchy, and manage the clock and PM domain appropriately. Also rename the node's name from "lan9220" to "ethernet", to conform to ePAPR generic name recomendations. 2015-02-24ARM: shmobile: kzm9g dts: Declare the full 512 MiB of RAMGeert Uytterhoeven
Traditionally, the first 16 MiB of RAM was reserved for the RT processor. However, this is incompatible with CONFIG_AUTO_ZRELADDR=y, which requires that the start address of physical memory is a multiple of 128 MiB. As CONFIG_AUTO_ZRELADDR=y is enabled for multi-platform kernels, declare RAM to start at 0x40000000. While at it, reclaim the last 8 MiB of RAM, too, so the full 512 MiB is available. Note that kzm9g_defconfig still has CONFIG_MEMORY_START=0x41000000 and CONFIG_MEMORY_SIZE=0x1f000000, so before the advent of DT we scribbled over the last 8 MiB, too.
