2011-11-26ARM: 7171/1: unwind: add unwind directives to bitops assembly macrosWill Deacon
The bitops functions (e.g. _test_and_set_bit) on ARM do not have unwind annotations and therefore the kernel cannot backtrace out of them on a fatal error (for example, NULL pointer dereference). This patch annotates the bitops assembly macros with UNWIND annotations so that we can produce a meaningful backtrace on error. Callers of the macros are modified to pass their function name as a macro parameter, enforcing that the macros are used as standalone function implementations. 2011-02-02ARM: bitops: switch set/clear/change bitops to use ldrex/strexRussell King
Switch the set/clear/change bitops to use the word-based exclusive operations, which are only present in a wider range of ARM architectures than the byte-based exclusive operations. 2008-09-01[ARM] 5227/1: Add the ENDPROC declarations to the .S filesCatalin Marinas
This declaration specifies the "function" type and size for various assembly functions, mainly needed for generating the correct branch instructions in Thumb-2. Signed-off-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk+kernel@arm.linux.org.uk>
2005-04-17[PATCH] ARM: bitopsRussell King
Convert ARM bitop assembly to a macro. All bitops follow the same format, so it's silly duplicating the code when only one or two instructions are different. Signed-off-by: Russell King <rmk@arm.linux.org.uk>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
