2020-05-20ARM: imx: use device_initcall for imx_soc_device_initPeng Fan
This is preparation to move imx_soc_device_init to drivers/soc/imx/ There is no reason to must put dt devices under /sys/devices/soc0, they could also be under /sys/devices/platform, so we could pass NULL as parent when calling of_platform_default_populate. Following soc-imx8.c soc-imx-scu.c using device_initcall, need to change return type to int type for imx_soc_device_init. 2015-05-20ARM: vf610: enable Cortex-M4 configuration on Vybrid SoCStefan Agner
This patch allows to build the Kernel for Vybrid (VF6xx) SoC when ARMv7-M CPU is selected. The resulting image runs on the secondary Cortex-M4 core. This core has equally access to all peripherals as the main Cortex-A5 core. However, there is no resource control mechanism, hence when both cores are used simultaneously, orthogonal device tree's are required. The boot CPU is dependent on the SoC variant. The available boards use mostly variants where the Cortex-A5 is the primary and hence the boot CPU. Booting the secondary Cortex-M4 CPU needs SoC specific registers written. 2014-11-22ARM: imx: clean up machine mxc_arch_reset_init_dt reset initJingchang Lu
System restart mechanism has been changed with the introduction of "kernel restart handler call chain support". The imx2 watchdog based restart handler has been moved to the driver, and these restart can be removed from the machine layer. This patch cleans up the device tree version machine reset init with mxc_arch_reset_init_dt and removes corresponding .restart handler, for the .init_machine that can be handled by system default after removing the mxc_arch_reset_init_dt, the .init_machine is also removed.
