2014-02-26ARM: integrator: localize the hardware.h headerLinus Walleij
As we move toward multiplatform support for the Integrator family we need to localize all <mach/*> headers. This moves the hardware.h header down to the machine folder. There are no users outside the machine in the kernel. Cc: Will Deacon <will.deacon@arm.com> Cc: Jonathan Austin <jonathan.austin@arm.com> Cc: Russell King <linux@arm.linux.org.uk> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2014-02-26ARM: integrator: merge platform.h to hardware.hLinus Walleij
There is no need to have the two separate headers <mach/platform.h> and <mach/hardware.h>, especially since we are now going to make them local files. There is not one single driver outside the mach-integrator folder referencing any of the files. 2014-02-26ARM: integrator: localize the impd1.h headerLinus Walleij
As we move toward multiplatform support for the Integrator family we need to localize all <mach/*> headers. This moves the impd1.h header down to the machine folder, copying the the three defines only used by the clock driver down into the clock driver. 2014-02-18Merge tag 'dropmachtimexh-v2' of git://git.pengutronix.de/git/ukl/linux into ↵Olof Johansson
next/cleanup This cleanup series gets rid of <mach/timex.h> for platforms not using ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM. (For multi-platform code it's already unused since 387798b (ARM: initial multiplatform support).) To make this work some code out of arch/arm needed to be adapted. The respective changes got acks by their maintainers to be taken via armsoc (with Andrew Morton substituting for Alessandro Zummo as rtc maintainer). Compared to the previous pull request there was another patch added that fixes a (non-critical) regression on ixp4xx. Olof Johansson asked to not squash this fix into the original commit to save him from the need to reverify the series. * tag 'dropmachtimexh-v2' of git://git.pengutronix.de/git/ukl/linux: ARM: ixp4xx: fix timer latch calculation ARM: drop <mach/timex.h> for !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM, too ARM: rpc: stop using <mach/timex.h> ARM: ixp4xx: stop using <mach/timex.h> input: ixp4xx-beeper: don't use symbols from <mach/timex.h> ARM: at91: don't use <mach/timex.h> ARM: ep93xx: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: mmp: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: netx: stop using mach/timex.h ARM: sa1100: stop using mach/timex.h clocksource: sirf/marco+prima2: drop usage of CLOCK_TICK_RATE rtc: pxa: drop unused #define TIMER_FREQ rtc: at91sam9: include <mach/hardware.h> explicitly ARM/serial: at91: switch atmel serial to use gpiolib Signed-off-by: Olof Johansson <olof@lixom.net>
2014-02-13ARM: integrator: select GPIO blockLinus Walleij
The Integrator/AP can be used with a logic module called IM-PD1, which contains a few AMBA PrimeCell devices, one of which is the PL061 GPIO controller. As the lines from this GPIO controller are looped back to devices on the board itself and provides resources back to it, we need to always have GPIO and the PL061 driver available for other devices to work. 2014-02-13ARM: integrator: switch to fetch clocks from device treeLinus Walleij
This atomic commit changes the Integrator clock implementation and the machines to register clocks from the device tree and use these instead of the previous hard-coded clocks. In the clock implementation all hard-coded clocks and the special initialization function call goes away, and is replaced by two compatible strings for the two clocks available on the core module. 2013-12-20ARM: drop <mach/timex.h> for !ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM, tooUwe Kleine-König
While <mach/timex.h> isn't used for multi-platform builds since long it still is for "normal" builds. As the previous patches fix all sites to not make use of this per-platform file, it can go now for good also for platforms that are not (yet) converted to multi-platform. 2013-10-24of/irq: Replace of_irq with of_phandle_argsGrant Likely

2013-10-24of/irq: Rename of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_*Grant Likely
The OF irq handling code has been overloading the term 'map' to refer to both parsing the data in the device tree and mapping it to the internal linux irq system. This is probably because the device tree does have the concept of an 'interrupt-map' function for translating interrupt references from one node to another, but 'map' is still confusing when the primary purpose of some of the functions are to parse the DT data. This patch renames all the of_irq_map_* functions to of_irq_parse_* which makes it clear that there is a difference between the parsing phase and the mapping phase. Kernel code can make use of just the parsing or just the mapping support as needed by the subsystem. The patch was generated mechanically with a handful of sed commands. However to transition the v3 to enable device tree probing, it need to be converted to a platform device (so that it can have a device node in the device tree) and then we want the PCI driver in a single file, as any other device driver, so we can handle variants using compatible strings and device name, and get the base address etc from resources connected to the device node. To move toward this goal we consolidate all code in the pci_v3.c file. Acked-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>

git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc Pull ARM SoC late cleanups from Arnd Bergmann: "These are cleanups and smaller changes that either depend on earlier feature branches or came in late during the development cycle. We normally try to get all cleanups early, so these are the exceptions: - A follow-up on the clocksource reworks, hopefully the last time we need to merge clocksource subsystem changes through arm-soc. A first set of patches was part of the original 3.10 arm-soc cleanup series because of interdependencies with timer drivers now moved out of arch/arm. - Migrating the SPEAr13xx platform away from using auxdata for DMA channel descriptions towards using information in device tree, based on the earlier SPEAr multiplatform series - A few follow-ups on the Atmel SAMA5 support and other changes for Atmel at91 based on the larger at91 reworks. - Moving the armada irqchip implementation to drivers/irqchip - Several OMAP cleanups following up on the larger series already merged in 3.10." * tag 'cleanup-for-linus-2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/arm/arm-soc: (50 commits) ARM: OMAP4: change the device names in usb_bind_phy ARM: OMAP2+: Fix mismerge for timer.c between ff931c82 and da4a686a ARM: SPEAr: conditionalize SMP code ARM: arch_timer: Silence debug preempt warnings ARM: OMAP: remove unused variable serial: amba-pl011: fix !CONFIG_DMA_ENGINE case ata: arasan: remove the need for platform_data ARM: at91/sama5d34ek.dts: remove not needed compatibility string ARM: at91: dts: add MCI DMA support ARM: at91: dts: add i2c dma support ARM: at91: dts: set #dma-cells to the correct value ARM: at91: suspend both memory controllers on at91sam9263 irqchip: armada-370-xp: slightly cleanup irq controller driver irqchip: armada-370-xp: move IRQ handler to avoid forward declaration irqchip: move IRQ driver for Armada 370/XP ARM: mvebu: move L2 cache initialization in init_early() devtree: add binding documentation for sp804 ARM: integrator-cp: convert use CLKSRC_OF for timer init ARM: versatile: use OF init for sp804 timer ARM: versatile: add versatile dtbs to dtbs target ...

Pull ARM updates from Russell King: "The major items included in here are: - MCPM, multi-cluster power management, part of the infrastructure required for ARMs big.LITTLE support. - A rework of the ARM KVM code to allow re-use by ARM64. - Error handling cleanups of the IS_ERR_OR_NULL() madness and fixes of that stuff for arch/arm - Preparatory patches for Cortex-M3 support from Uwe Kleine-König. There is also a set of three patches in here from Hugh/Catalin to address freeing of inappropriate page tables on LPAE. You already have these from akpm, but they were already part of my tree at the time he sent them, so unfortunately they'll end up with duplicate commits" * 'for-linus' of git://git.linaro.org/people/rmk/linux-arm: (77 commits) ARM: EXYNOS: remove unnecessary use of IS_ERR_VALUE() ARM: IMX: remove unnecessary use of IS_ERR_VALUE() ARM: OMAP: use consistent error checking ARM: cleanup: OMAP hwmod error checking ARM: 7709/1: mcpm: Add explicit AFLAGS to support v6/v7 multiplatform kernels ARM: 7700/2: Make cpu_init() notrace ARM: 7702/1: Set the page table freeing ceiling to TASK_SIZE ARM: 7701/1: mm: Allow arch code to control the user page table ceiling ARM: 7703/1: Disable preemption in broadcast_tlb*_a15_erratum() ARM: mcpm: provide an interface to set the SMP ops at run time ARM: mcpm: generic SMP secondary bringup and hotplug support ARM: mcpm_head.S: vlock-based first man election ARM: mcpm: Add baremetal voting mutexes ARM: mcpm: introduce helpers for platform coherency exit/setup ARM: mcpm: introduce the CPU/cluster power API ARM: multi-cluster PM: secondary kernel entry code ARM: cacheflush: add synchronization helpers for mixed cache state accesses ARM: cpu hotplug: remove majority of cache flushing from platforms ARM: smp: flush L1 cache in cpu_die() ARM: tegra: remove tegra specific cpu_disable() ...
