2019-08-13ARM: OMAP1: ams-delta-fiq: Fix missing irq_ackJanusz Krzysztofik
Non-serio path of Amstrad Delta FIQ deferred handler depended on irq_ack() method provided by OMAP GPIO driver. That method has been removed by commit 693de831c6e5 ("gpio: omap: remove irq_ack method"). Remove useless code from the deferred handler and reimplement the missing operation inside the base FIQ handler. Should another dependency - irq_unmask() - be ever removed from the OMAP GPIO driver, WARN once if missing. git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/linusw/linux-gpio Pull GPIO updates from Linus Walleij: "This is the big slew of GPIO changes for the v5.3 kernel cycle. This is mostly incremental work this time. Three important things: - The FMC subsystem is deleted through my tree. This happens through GPIO as its demise was discussed in relation to a patch decoupling its GPIO implementation from the standard way of handling GPIO. As it turns out, that is not the only subsystem it reimplements and the authors think it is better do scratch it and start over using the proper kernel subsystems than try to polish the rust shiny. See the commit (ACKed by the maintainers) for details. - Arnd made a small devres patch that was ACKed by Greg and goes into the device core. - SPDX header change colissions may happen, because at times I've seen that quite a lot changed during the -rc:s in regards to SPDX. (It is good stuff, tglx has me convinced, and it is worth the occasional pain.) Apart from this is is nothing controversial or problematic. Summary: Core: - When a gpio_chip request GPIOs from itself, it can now fully control the line characteristics, both machine and consumer flags. This makes a lot of sense, but took some time before I figured out that this is how it has to work. - Several smallish documentation fixes. New drivers: - The PCA953x driver now supports the TI TCA9539. - The DaVinci driver now supports the K3 AM654 SoCs. Driver improvements: - Major overhaul and hardening of the OMAP driver by Russell King. - Starting to move some drivers to the new API passing irq_chip along with the gpio_chip when adding the gpio_chip instead of adding it separately. 2019-06-07gpio: pass lookup and descriptor flags to request_ownLinus Walleij
When a gpio_chip wants to request a descriptor from itself using gpiochip_request_own_desc() it needs to be able to specify fully how to use the descriptor, notably line inversion semantics. The workaround in the gpiolib.c can be removed and cases (such as SPI CS) where we need at times to request a GPIO with line inversion semantics directly on a chip for workarounds, can be fully supported with this call. Fix up some users of the API that weren't really using the last flag to set up the line as input or output properly but instead just calling direction setting explicitly after requesting the line. 2018-12-14gpio: Pass a flag to gpiochip_request_own_desc()Linus Walleij
Before things go out of hand, make it possible to pass flags when requesting "own" descriptors from a gpio_chip. This is necessary if the chip wants to request a GPIO with active low semantics, for example. 2018-07-02Input: ams_delta_serio: use IRQ resourceJanusz Krzysztofik
The driver still obtains IRQ number from a hardcoded GPIO. Use IRQ resource instead. For this to work on Amstrad Delta, add the IRQ resource to ams-delta-serio platform device structure. Obtain the IRQ number assigned to "keybrd_clk" GPIO pin from FIQ initialization routine. As a benefit, the driver no longer needs to include <mach/board-ams-delta.h>. 2018-07-02ARM: OMAP1: ams-delta FIQ: Keep serio input GPIOs requestedJanusz Krzysztofik
From the very beginning, input GPIO pins of ams-delta serio port have been used by FIQ handler, not serio driver. Don't request those pins from the ams-delta-serio driver any longer, instead keep them requested and initialized by the FIQ initialization routine which already requests them and releases while identifying GPIO IRQs. 2018-07-02ARM: OMAP1: ams-delta FIQ: don't use static GPIO numbersJanusz Krzysztofik
With introduction of GPIO lookup tables to Amstrad Delta board init file, semantics of symbols representing OMAP GPIO pins defined in <mach/board-ams-delta.h> changed from statically assigned global GPIO numbers to hardware pin numbers local to OMAP "gpio-0-15" chip. This patch modifies deferred FIQ interrupt handler so it no longer uses static GPIO numbers in favour of IRQ data descriptors obtained at FIQ initialization time from descriptor of the GPIO chip with use of its hardware pin numbers. The chip descriptor is passed from the board init file. As a benefit, the deferred FIQ handler should work faster. 2018-05-03ARM: OMAP1: ams-delta: fix deferred_fiq handlerJanusz Krzysztofik
The deferred_fiq handler used to limit hardware operations to IRQ unmask only, relying on gpio-omap assigned handler performing the ACKs. Since commit 80ac93c27441 ("gpio: omap: Fix lost edge interrupts") this is no longer the case as handle_edge_irq() has been replaced with handle_simmple_irq() which doesn't touch the hardware. Add single ACK operation per each active IRQ pin to the handler. While being at it, move unmask operation out of irq_counter loop so it is also called only once for each active IRQ pin. 2012-05-04ARM: OMAP1: Amstrad Delta: Fix wrong IRQ base in FIQ handlerJanusz Krzysztofik
Commit 384ebe1c2849160d040df3e68634ec506f13d9ff, "gpio/omap: Add DT support to GPIO driver", introduced dynamic IRQ numbering of OMAP GPIO interrupts, breaking all IH_GPIO_BASE based IRQ number calculations. This issue was corrected in the OMAP GPIO driver and the related header file with commit 25db711df3258d125dc1209800317e5c0ef3c870, "gpio/omap: Fix IRQ handling for SPARSE_IRQ". However, the Amstrad Delta FIQ handler, which replaces the gpio-omap driver in serving GPIO interrupts on this board, still uses that outdated method. Fix it.
