2024-02-05Revert "arm64: dts: imx8mn-var-som-symphony: Describe the USB-C connector"Fabio Estevam
This reverts commit 095b96b2b8c6dcabf40bbfe4bb99a95fe55c7463. Marek reported the similar change in imx8mp-dhcom-pdk3.dts caused a regression: "This patch breaks USB-C port on this board. If I plug in USB-C storage device, it is not detected. If I revert this patch, it is detected. Please drop this patch for now." Revert it here as well. 2023-12-14arm64: dts: imx8mn-var-som-symphony: Describe the USB-C connectorFabio Estevam
Describe the PTN5150 USB-C connector to improve the devicetree description and fix the following dt-schema warning: imx8mn-var-som-symphony.dtb: typec@3d: 'port' does not match any of the regexes: 'pinctrl-[0-9]+' from schema $id: http://devicetree.org/schemas/extcon/extcon-ptn5150.yaml# Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <festevam@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2023-12-06arm64: dts: imx8mn-var-som-symphony: add vcc supply for PCA9534Hugo Villeneuve
The following warning is shown when probing device: pca953x 1-0020: supply vcc not found, using dummy regulator Define a new fixed 3.3v regulator for carrier board peripherals, enabled by mosfet switch Q2 after the SOM_3V3 supply rises (no software control). Add this new regulator as vcc supply to the PCA9534 to silence the warning. Signed-off-by: Hugo Villeneuve <hvilleneuve@dimonoff.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2023-07-30arm64: dts: imx8mn-var-som-symphony: update USB OTG for new board versionsHugo Villeneuve
USB OTG is currently not working for new versions of the Variscite Symphony EVK and imx8mn nano SOM (versions >= 1.4a). The PTN5150 circuitry on newer versions of the Symphony EVK board has a non-standard configuration in which the PTN5150 IRQ pin is left unconnected, and the PTN5150 ID pin is connected to GPIO1_IO11. This requires changes to the ptn5150 driver to support this new mode. Variscite have indicated their intention to submit those changes upstream. In the meantime, import device tree changes from linux-5.15 branch of varigit repos to at least make the USB OTG port operate correctly in host mode. 2023-06-04arm64: dts: imx8mn-var-som-symphony: adapt FEC pinctrl for SOMs with onboard PHYHugo Villeneuve
The VAR SOM symphony carrier board can be used with SOMs which have a soldered ethernet PHY onboard and with SOMs which don't have one. For SOMs with an onboard PHY, the PHY on the cartrier board is not used, and GPIO1_IO9 is used as a reset line to the onboard PHY. For SOMs without an onboard PHY, the PHY on the carrier board is used. For this configuration, pca9534 GPIO 5 (located on the carrier board) is used as a reset line to the PHY, and GPIO1_IO9 is not used. GPIO1_IO9 is not connected to any user-accessible pins or functions, and leaving it enabled in the mux pinctrl for both configurations is safe. 2022-06-19arm64: dts: freescale: align gpio-key node names with dtschemaKrzysztof Kozlowski
The node names should be generic and DT schema expects certain pattern (e.g. with key/button/switch). Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2020-09-22arm64: dts: imx8mn-var-som-symphony: Add Variscite Symphony board with ↵Krzysztof Kozlowski
VAR-SOM-MX8MN Add a basic DTS for Variscite Symphony evaluation kit with VAR-SOM-MX8MN (i.MX 8M Nano) System on Module. This brings up the board with basic functionalities although still few issues remain (e.g. I2C3 and USB OTG port, although it might not be the problem of DTS).
