2024-02-05ARM: dts: imx6qdl-hummingboard: Add rtc0 and rtc1 aliases to fix hctosysJosua Mayer
HummingBoard has two RTCs, first integrated within SoC that can be used to wake up from sleep - and a second on the carrier board including back-up battery which is intended for keeping time during power-off. Add aliases for both, ensuring that the battery-backed clock is primary rtc and used by default during boot for restoring system time. Fixes keeping time across power-cycle observed on Debian, which sets RTC_HCTOSYS_DEVICE="rtc0". 2024-02-05ARM: dts: imx6ull-dhcor: Remove 900MHz operating pointChristoph Niedermaier
Due to CPU lifetime consideration of the SoC manufacturer [1] and the preferred area of operation in the industrial related environment, set the maximum frequency for each DHCOM i.MX6ULL to 792MHz, as with the industrial type. This is done by removing the operating point at 900MHz and set the clock-frequency to 792000000. 2024-02-04ARM: dts: rockchip: Drop interrupts property from pwm-rockchip nodesUwe Kleine-König
The binding doesn't define interrupts and adding such a definition was refused because it's unclear how they should ever be used and the relevant registers are outside the PWM range. So drop them fixing several dtbs_check warnings like: arch/arm/boot/dts/rockchip/rv1108-elgin-r1.dtb: pwm@10280030: 'interrupts' does not match any of the regexes: 'pinctrl-[0-9]+' from schema $id: http://devicetree.org/schemas/pwm/pwm-rockchip.yaml# Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20240129113205.2453029-2-u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de Signed-off-by: Heiko Stuebner <heiko@sntech.de>
2024-02-03ARM: dts: microchip: gardena-smart-gateway: Use DMA for USART3Ezra Buehler
The AT91SAM9G25-based GARDENA smart Gateway uses USART3 (ttyS1) to communicate (over PPP, at 115200 baud) with the radio module. We have been experiencing packet loss and seeing errors on the ppp0 interface. Enabling DMA for the serial interface resolves the issues. 2024-02-03ARM: dts: microchip: at91sam9x5ek: Use DMA for DBGU serial portEzra Buehler
The UART controller does not seem to be fast enough to receive data (at 115200 baud) without dropping bytes when DMA is disabled. 2024-02-02ARM: multi_v7_defconfig: Enable BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICEMarek Szyprowski
Commit 72fee6b0a3a4 ("fbdev: Restrict FB_SH_MOBILE_LCDC to SuperH") disabled availablity of the SH_MOBILE_LCDC driver on the RENESAS arch. This innocent change has a significant side-effect on the ARM's multi_v7_defconfig, because FB_BACKLIGHT symbol is no longer selected, what in turn leaves BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE symbol selected only as a module. The latter disables some backlight related code in the DRM core, because the DRM core is set to be compiled-in in this defconfig. This leaves all DRM display panels without integrated backlight control, even if the needed modules have been properly loaded and probed. Fix this by selecting BACKLIGHT_CLASS_DEVICE to be compiled-in in multi_v7_defconfig. 2024-02-01kernel.h: removed REPEAT_BYTE from kernel.hTanzir Hasan
This patch creates wordpart.h and includes it in asm/word-at-a-time.h for all architectures. WORD_AT_A_TIME_CONSTANTS depends on kernel.h because of REPEAT_BYTE. Moving this to another header and including it where necessary allows us to not include the bloated kernel.h. Making this implicit dependency on REPEAT_BYTE explicit allows for later improvements in the lib/string.c inclusion list. 2024-01-31ARM: multi_v7_defconfig: Add more TI Keystone supportAndrew Davis

On non-QUSB2 targets (like the ones that use femto phys, M31 phy, eusb2 phy), many of the QCOM DTs are missing the IRQ for either hs_phy_irq or pwr_event.
