2017-03-02sched/headers: Prepare for new header dependencies before moving code to ↵Ingo Molnar
<linux/sched/debug.h> We are going to split <linux/sched/debug.h> out of <linux/sched.h>, which will have to be picked up from other headers and a couple of .c files. Create a trivial placeholder <linux/sched/debug.h> file that just maps to <linux/sched.h> to make this patch obviously correct and bisectable. Include the new header in the files that are going to need it. 2013-04-29early_printk: consolidate random copies of identical codeThomas Gleixner
The early console implementations are the same all over the place. Move the print function to kernel/printk and get rid of the copies. 2009-10-07Blackfin: mass clean up of copyright/licensing infoRobin Getz
Bill Gatliff & David Brownell pointed out we were missing some copyrights, and licensing terms in some of the files in ./arch/blackfin, so this fixes things, and cleans them up. It also removes: - verbose GPL text(refer to the top level ./COPYING file) - file names (you are looking at the file) - bug url (it's in the ./MAINTAINERS file) - "or later" on GPL-2, when we did not have that right It also allows some Blackfin-specific assembly files to be under a BSD like license (for people to use them outside of Linux). 2009-09-16Blackfin: catch hardware errors earlier during bootingRobin Getz
Allow hardware errors to be caught during early portions of booting, and leave something in the shadow console that people can use to debug their system with (to be printed out by the bootloader on next reset). This enables the hardare error interrupts in head.S, allowing us to find hardware errors when they happen (well, as much as you can with a hardware error) and prints out the trace if it is enabled. This will catch errors (like booting the wrong image on a 533) which previously resulted in a infinite loop/hang, as well as random hardware errors before before setup_arch(). To disable this debug only feature - turn off EARLY_PRINTK. Signed-off-by: Robin Getz <robin.getz@analog.com> Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>
2009-06-13Blackfin: do not configure the UART early if on wrong processorRobin Getz
Before we configure the early UART, check to make sure we are running on the expected processor - otherwise, we cause problems by configuring pins that don't exist (and causing an infinite loop of faults). 2009-06-12Blackfin: convert early_printk EVT init to a loopMike Frysinger
The EVT registers are all contiguous in the memory map, so using a loop to initialize them all rather than hardcoding the list results in much better generated code (a hardware loop rather than a whole bunch of individual loads). Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org>

2007-12-23[Blackfin] arch: Clean up dump_bfin_memRobin Getz
Clean up dump_bfin_mem so that it will display content from the kernel, as well as l1 instruction, when deferred HW errors happen, print out the last frame info if it makes sense. Signed-off-by: Robin Getz <robin.getz@analog.com> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@analog.com>

2007-10-09Blackfin arch: Print out debug info, as early as possibleRobin Getz
Print out debug info, as early as possible - even before the kernel initializes the interrupt vectors. Now we can print out debug messages almost anytime during the boot process. Signed-off-by: Robin Getz <robin.getz@analog.com> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@analog.com>
2007-10-09Blackfin arch: Initial patch to add earlyprintk supportRobin Getz
This allows debugging of problems which happen eary in the kernel boot process (after bootargs are parsed, but before serial subsystem is fully initialized) Signed-off-by: Robin Getz <robin.getz@analog.com> Signed-off-by: Bryan Wu <bryan.wu@analog.com>
