2018-03-09arch: remove frv portArnd Bergmann
The Fujitsu FRV kernel port has been around for a long time, but has not seen regular updates in several years and instead was marked 'Orphaned' in 2016 by long-time maintainer David Howells. The SoC product line apparently is apparently still around in the form of the Socionext Milbeaut image processor, but this one no longer uses the FRV CPU cores. This removes all FRV specific files from the kernel. Link: http://www.socionext.com/en/products/assp/milbeaut/ Cc: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2010-08-11dma-mapping: rename ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN to ARCH_DMA_MINALIGNFUJITA Tomonori
Now each architecture has the own dma_get_cache_alignment implementation. dma_get_cache_alignment returns the minimum DMA alignment. Architectures define it as ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN (it's used to make sure that malloc'ed buffer is DMA-safe; the buffer doesn't share a cache with the others). So we can unify dma_get_cache_alignment implementations. This patch: dma_get_cache_alignment() needs to know if an architecture defines ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN or not (needs to know if architecture has DMA alignment restriction). However, slab.h define ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN if architectures doesn't define it. Let's rename ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN to ARCH_DMA_MINALIGN. ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN is used only in the internals of slab/slob/slub (except for crypto). 2010-05-28FRV: ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN was already definedDavid Howells
ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN was already defined in asm/mem-layout.h and so shouldn't have been added to asm/cache.h as well, but rather altered in place. The commit that added it to asm/cache.h was: commit 69dcf3db03626c4f18de624e8632454ea12ff260 Author: FUJITA Tomonori <fujita.tomonori@lab.ntt.co.jp> Date: Mon May 24 14:32:54 2010 -0700 frv: set ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN Architectures that handle DMA-non-coherent memory need to set ARCH_KMALLOC_MINALIGN to make sure that kmalloc'ed buffer is DMA-safe: the buffer doesn't share a cache with the others.
