In all these cases, the last argument to dma_declare_coherent_memory() is the buffer end address, but the expected value should be the size of the reserved region. 2021-11-06memblock: rename memblock_free to memblock_phys_freeMike Rapoport

2020-10-06dma-mapping: split <linux/dma-mapping.h>Christoph Hellwig
Split out all the bits that are purely for dma_map_ops implementations and related code into a new <linux/dma-map-ops.h> header so that they don't get pulled into all the drivers. That also means the architecture specific <asm/dma-mapping.h> is not pulled in by <linux/dma-mapping.h> any more, which leads to a missing includes that were pulled in by the x86 or arm versions in a few not overly portable drivers. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>
2019-08-22driver core: initialize a default DMA mask for platform deviceChristoph Hellwig
We still treat devices without a DMA mask as defaulting to 32-bits for both mask, but a few releases ago we've started warning about such cases, as they require special cases to work around this sloppyness. Add a dma_mask field to struct platform_device so that we can initialize the dma_mask pointer in struct device and initialize both masks to 32-bits by default, replacing similar functionality in m68k and powerpc. The arch_setup_pdev_archdata hooks is now unused and removed. Note that the code looks a little odd with the various conditionals because we have to support platform_device structures that are statically allocated. 2018-06-28media: arch: sh: kfr2r09: Use new renesas-ceu camera driverJacopo Mondi
Use the new renesas-ceu camera driver in kfr2r09 board file instead of the soc_camera based sh_mobile_ceu_camera driver. Get rid of soc_camera specific components, and move clk and gpio handling away from board file, registering the clock source and the enable gpios for driver consumption. Memory for the CEU video buffers is now reserved with membocks APIs, and need to be declared as dma_coherent during machine initialization to remove that architecture specific part from CEU driver. While at there update license to SPDX header and sort headers alphabetically. No need to udapte the clock source names, as commit c2f9b05fd5c1 ("media: arch: sh: ecovec: Use new renesas-ceu camera driver") already updated it to the new ceu driver name for all SH7724 boards (possibly breaking kfr2r09 before this commit). 2018-03-05sh: kfr2r09: use MMC_CAP2_NO_WRITE_PROTECT instead of TMIO own flagMasahiro Yamada
TMIO_MMC_WRPROTECT_DISABLE is equivalent to MMC_CAP2_NO_WRITE_PROTECT. The flag is propagated as follows: tmio_mmc_data::capabilities2 -> mmc_host::caps2 Only the difference is the TMIO_... makes tmio_mmc_get_ro() return 0 (i.e. it does not affect mmc_gpio_get_ro() at all), while MMC_CAP2_... returns 0 before calling ->get_ro() hook (i.e. it affects both IP own logic and GPIO detection). The TMIO MMC drivers do not set-up gpio_ro by themselves, so gpio_ro is obviously unused by legacy boards like this. So, this conversion should be safe. 2015-11-17[media] include/media: split I2C headers from V4L2 coreMauro Carvalho Chehab
Currently, include/media is messy, as it contains both the V4L2 core headers and some driver-specific headers on the same place. That makes harder to identify what core headers should be documented and what headers belong to I2C drivers that are included only by bridge/main drivers that would require the functions provided by them. Let's move those i2c specific files to its own subdirectory. The files to move were produced via the following script: mkdir include/media/i2c (cd include/media; for i in *.h; do n=`echo $i|sed s/.h$/.c/`; if [ -e ../../drivers/media/i2c/$n ]; then echo $i; git mv $i i2c/; fi; done) (cd include/media; for i in *.h; do n=`echo $i|sed s/.h$/.c/`; if [ -e ../../drivers/media/*/i2c/$n ]; then echo $i; git mv $i i2c/; fi; done) for i in include/media/*.h; do n=`basename $i`; (for j in $(git grep -l $n); do dirname $j; done)|sort|uniq|grep -ve '^.$' > list; num=$(wc -l list|cut -d' ' -f1); if [ $num == 1 ]; then if [ "`grep i2c list`" != "" ]; then git mv $i include/media/i2c; fi; fi; done And the references corrected via this script: MAIN_DIR="media/" PREV_DIR="media/" DIRS="i2c/" echo "Checking affected files" >&2 for i in $DIRS; do for j in $(find include/$MAIN_DIR/$i -type f -name '*.h'); do n=`basename $j` git grep -l $n done done|sort|uniq >files && ( echo "Handling files..." >&2; echo "for i in \$(cat files|grep -v Documentation); do cat \$i | \\"; ( cd include/$MAIN_DIR; for j in $DIRS; do for i in $(ls $j); do echo "perl -ne 's,(include [\\\"\\<])$PREV_DIR($i)([\\\"\\>]),\1$MAIN_DIR$j\2\3,; print \$_' |\\"; done; done; echo "cat > a && mv a \$i; done"; ); echo "Handling documentation..." >&2; echo "for i in MAINTAINERS \$(cat files); do cat \$i | \\"; ( cd include/$MAIN_DIR; for j in $DIRS; do for i in $(ls $j); do echo " perl -ne 's,include/$PREV_DIR($i)\b,include/$MAIN_DIR$j\1,; print \$_' |\\"; done; done; echo "cat > a && mv a \$i; done" ); ) >script && . ./script Merged Sakari Ailus patch that moves smiapp.h to include/media/i2c. 2010-10-22[media] soc_camera: Don't use module names to load I2C modulesLaurent Pinchart
With the v4l2_i2c_new_subdev* functions now supporting loading modules based on modaliases, remove the module names hardcoded in platform data and pass a NULL module name to those functions. All corresponding I2C modules have been checked, and all of them include a module aliases table with names corresponding to what the soc_camera platform data uses. 2010-09-14fbdev: sh_mobile_lcdcfb: Support multiple video modes in platform dataGuennadi Liakhovetski
This is a preparation for HDMI hotplug support. This patch just moves all platform defined video modes for the sh_mobile_lcdcfb driver to separate arrays and switches all users to use element 0 of that array, so, this patch doesn't introduce any functional changes and as such should not cause any regressions. 2010-01-26sh: Mass ctrl_in/outX to __raw_read/writeX conversion.Paul Mundt
The old ctrl in/out routines are non-portable and unsuitable for cross-platform use. While drivers/sh has already been sanitized, there is still quite a lot of code that is not. This converts the arch/sh/ bits over, which permits us to flag the routines as deprecated whilst still building with -Werror for the architecture code, and to ensure that future users are not added. 2009-12-09sh: LCDC start_transfer() for the KFR2R09 boardMagnus Damm
This patch adds a ->start_transfer() callback to the KFR2R09 lcd handling code. The callback is used to notify the lcd controller that a new frame of data is about to be transferred. The callback is only used in combination with deferred io, but the code has been tested both with and without deferred io enabled. Without this patch the display data on the KFR2R09 lcd panel becomes corrupted over time. Signed-off-by: Magnus Damm <damm@opensource.se> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>
