2015-02-19x86/boot/video: Move the 'video_segment' variable to video.cAlexander Kuleshov
video.c is the only real user of the 'video_segment' variable, so move it to video.c and make it static. Signed-off-by: Alexander Kuleshov <kuleshovmail@gmail.com> Cc: H. 2014-01-22x86, boot: Use __attribute__((used)) to ensure videocard structs are emittedDavid Woodhouse
It looks like GCC will always emit an object that is marked with an explicit section, although the documentation doesn't say that and we possibly shouldn't be relying on it. Clang does *not* do so, so add __attribute__((used)) to make sure. 2009-06-26x86, setup: remove obsolete pre-Kconfig CONFIG_VIDEO_ variablesH. Peter Anvin
There were a set of pre-Kconfig configuration variables defined in the video code. There is absolutely no evidence that they have been tweaked by anybody in modern history, so just get rid of them and hope nobody notices. If someone does complain, these should be made real Kconfig variables. Reported-by: Robert P. J. Day <rpjday@crashcourse.ca> Signed-off-by: H. Peter Anvin <hpa@zytor.com>

2008-01-30x86 setup: display VESA graphics modes in vga=ask menuH. Peter Anvin
Display VESA graphics modes, with their mode IDs, in the vga=ask menu. Most VESA mode numbers are platform-dependent, so it helps to have an easy way to display them.
