SEGV_PKUERR is a signal specific si_code which happens to have the same
numeric value as several others: BUS_MCEERR_AR, ILL_ILLTRP, FPE_FLTOVF,
TRAP_HWBKPT, CLD_TRAPPED, POLL_ERR, SEGV_THREAD_ID, as such it is not safe
to just test the si_code the signal number must also be tested to prevent a
false positive in fill_sig_info_pkey.
This error was by inspection, and BUS_MCEERR_AR appears to be a real
candidate for confusion. So pass in si_signo and check for SIG_SEGV to
verify that it is actually a SEGV_PKUERR

If CPU and TSC frequency are the same the printout of the CPU frequency is
valid for the TSC as well:
tsc: Detected 2900.000 MHz processor
If the TSC frequency is different there is no information in dmesg. Add a
conditional printout:

The INTEL_FAM6_SKYLAKE_X hardcoded crystal_khz value of 25MHZ is
problematic:
- SKX workstations (with same model # as server variants) use a 24 MHz
crystal. This results in a -4.0% time drift rate on SKX workstations.
- SKX servers subject the crystal to an EMI reduction circuit that reduces its
actual frequency by (approximately) -0.25%. This results in -1 second per
10 minute time drift as compared to network time.
This issue can also trigger a timer and power problem, on configurations
that use the LAPIC timer (versus the TSC deadline timer). Clock ticks
scheduled with the LAPIC timer arrive a few usec before the time they are
expected (according to the slow TSC). This causes Linux to poll-idle, when
it should be in an idle power saving state. The idle and clock code do not
graciously recover from this error, sometimes resulting in significant
polling and measurable power impact.
Stop using native_calibrate_tsc() for INTEL_FAM6_SKYLAKE_X.
native_calibrate_tsc() will return 0, boot will run with tsc_khz = cpu_khz,
and the TSC refined calibration will update tsc_khz to correct for the
difference.

If the crystal frequency cannot be determined via CPUID(15).crystal_khz or
the built-in table then native_calibrate_tsc() will still set the
X86_FEATURE_TSC_KNOWN_FREQ flag which prevents the refined TSC calibration.
As a consequence such systems use cpu_khz for the TSC frequency which is
incorrect when cpu_khz != tsc_khz resulting in time drift.
Return early when the crystal frequency cannot be retrieved without setting
the X86_FEATURE_TSC_KNOWN_FREQ flag. This ensures that the refined TSC
calibration is invoked.

The intel_bts driver does not use the 'normal' BTS buffer which is exposed
through the cpu_entry_area but instead uses the memory allocated for the
perf AUX buffer.
This obviously comes apart when using PTI because then the kernel mapping;
which includes that AUX buffer memory; disappears. Fixing this requires to
expose a mapping which is visible in all context and that's not trivial.
As a quick fix disable this driver when PTI is enabled to prevent
malfunction.

The switch to the user space page tables in the low level ASM code sets
unconditionally bit 12 and bit 11 of CR3. Bit 12 is switching the base
address of the page directory to the user part, bit 11 is switching the
PCID to the PCID associated with the user page tables.
This fails on a machine which lacks PCID support because bit 11 is set in
CR3. Bit 11 is reserved when PCID is inactive.
While the Intel SDM claims that the reserved bits are ignored when PCID is
disabled, the AMD APM states that they should be cleared.
This went unnoticed as the AMD APM was not checked when the code was
developed and reviewed and test systems with Intel CPUs never failed to
boot. The report is against a Centos 6 host where the guest fails to boot,
so it's not yet clear whether this is a virt issue or can happen on real
hardware too, but thats irrelevant as the AMD APM clearly ask for clearing
the reserved bits.
Make sure that on non PCID machines bit 11 is not set by the page table
switching code.
Andy suggested to rename the related bits and masks so they are clearly
describing what they should be used for, which is done as well for clarity.
That split could have been done with alternatives but the macro hell is
horrible and ugly. This can be done on top if someone cares to remove the
extra orq. For now it's a straight forward fix.

The Software Delegated Exception Interface (SDEI) is an ARM standard
for registering callbacks from the platform firmware into the OS.
This is typically used to implement RAS notifications.
Such notifications enter the kernel at the registered entry-point
with the register values of the interrupted CPU context. Because this
is not a CPU exception, it cannot reuse the existing entry code.
(crucially we don't implicitly know which exception level we interrupted),
Add the entry point to entry.S to set us up for calling into C code. If
the event interrupted code that had interrupts masked, we always return
to that location. Otherwise we pretend this was an IRQ, and use SDEI's
complete_and_resume call to return to vbar_el1 + offset.
This allows the kernel to deliver signals to user space processes. For
KVM this triggers the world switch, a quick spin round vcpu_run, then
back into the guest, unless there are pending signals.
Add sdei_mask_local_cpu() calls to the smp_send_stop() code, this covers
the panic() code-path, which doesn't invoke cpuhotplug notifiers.
Because we can interrupt entry-from/exit-to another EL, we can't trust the
value in sp_el0 or x29, even if we interrupted the kernel, in this case
the code in entry.S will save/restore sp_el0 and use the value in
__entry_task.
When we have VMAP stacks we can interrupt the stack-overflow test, which
stirs x0 into sp, meaning we have to have our own VMAP stacks. For now
these are allocated when we probe the interface. Future patches will add
refcounting hooks to allow the arch code to allocate them lazily.

Today the arm64 arch code allocates an extra IRQ stack per-cpu. If we
also have SDEI and VMAP stacks we need two extra per-cpu VMAP stacks.
Move the VMAP stack allocation out to a helper in a new header file.
This avoids missing THREADINFO_GFP, or getting the all-important alignment
wrong.

The Software Delegated Exception Interface (SDEI) is an ARM standard
for registering callbacks from the platform firmware into the OS.
This is typically used to implement firmware notifications (such as
firmware-first RAS) or promote an IRQ that has been promoted to a
firmware-assisted NMI.
Add the code for detecting the SDEI version and the framework for
registering and unregistering events. Subsequent patches will add the
arch-specific backend code and the necessary power management hooks.
Only shared events are supported, power management, private events and
discovery for ACPI systems will be added by later patches.

Now that a VHE host uses tpidr_el2 for the cpu offset we no longer
need KVM to save/restore tpidr_el1. Move this from the 'common' code
into the non-vhe code. While we're at it, on VHE we don't need to
save the ELR or SPSR as kernel_entry in entry.S will have pushed these
onto the kernel stack, and will restore them from there. Move these
to the non-vhe code as we need them to get back to the host.
Finally remove the always-copy-tpidr we hid in the stage2 setup
code, cpufeature's enable callback will do this for VHE, we only
need KVM to do it for non-vhe. Add the copy into kvm-init instead.

Now that KVM uses tpidr_el2 in the same way as Linux's cpu_offset in
tpidr_el1, merge the two. This saves KVM from save/restoring tpidr_el1
on VHE hosts, and allows future code to blindly access per-cpu variables
without triggering world-switch.

Make tpidr_el2 a cpu-offset for per-cpu variables in the same way the
host uses tpidr_el1. This lets tpidr_el{1,2} have the same value, and
on VHE they can be the same register.
KVM calls hyp_panic() when anything unexpected happens. This may occur
while a guest owns the EL1 registers. KVM stashes the vcpu pointer in
tpidr_el2, which it uses to find the host context in order to restore
the host EL1 registers before parachuting into the host's panic().
The host context is a struct kvm_cpu_context allocated in the per-cpu
area, and mapped to hyp. Given the per-cpu offset for this CPU, this is
easy to find. Change hyp_panic() to take a pointer to the
struct kvm_cpu_context. Wrap these calls with an asm function that
retrieves the struct kvm_cpu_context from the host's per-cpu area.
Copy the per-cpu offset from the hosts tpidr_el1 into tpidr_el2 during
kvm init. (Later patches will make this unnecessary for VHE hosts)
We print out the vcpu pointer as part of the panic message. Add a back
reference to the 'running vcpu' in the host cpu context to preserve this.

KVM uses tpidr_el2 as its private vcpu register, which makes sense for
non-vhe world switch as only KVM can access this register. This means
vhe Linux has to use tpidr_el1, which KVM has to save/restore as part
of the host context.
If the SDEI handler code runs behind KVMs back, it mustn't access any
per-cpu variables. To allow this on systems with vhe we need to make
the host use tpidr_el2, saving KVM from save/restoring it.
__guest_enter() stores the host_ctxt on the stack, do the same with
the vcpu.

Since error-injection framework is not limited to be used
by kprobes, nor bpf. Other kernel subsystems can use it
freely for checking safeness of error-injection, e.g.
livepatch, ftrace etc.
So this separate error-injection framework from kprobes.
Some differences has been made:
- "kprobe" word is removed from any APIs/structures.
- BPF_ALLOW_ERROR_INJECTION() is renamed to
ALLOW_ERROR_INJECTION() since it is not limited for BPF too.
- CONFIG_FUNCTION_ERROR_INJECTION is the config item of this
feature. It is automatically enabled if the arch supports
error injection feature for kprobe or ftrace etc.

Check whether error injectable event is on function entry or not.
Currently it checks the event is ftrace-based kprobes or not,
but that is wrong. It should check if the event is on the entry
of target function. Since error injection will override a function
to just return with modified return value, that operation must
be done before the target function starts making stackframe.
As a side effect, bpf error injection is no need to depend on
function-tracer. It can work with sw-breakpoint based kprobe
events too.

On dra7, as per TRM, the HW shutdown (TSHUT) temperature is hardcoded
to 123C and cannot be modified by SW. This means that when the temperature
reaches 123C HW asserts TSHUT output which signals a warm reset.
The reset is held until the temperature goes below the TSHUT low (105C).
While in SW, the thermal driver continuously monitors current temperature
and takes decisions based on whether it reached an alert or a critical point.
The intention of setting a SW critical point is to prevent force reset by HW
and instead do an orderly_poweroff(). But if the SW critical temperature is
greater than or equal to that of HW then it defeats the purpose. To address
this and let SW take action before HW does keep the SW critical temperature
less than HW TSHUT value.
The value for SW critical temperature was chosen as 120C just to ensure
we give SW sometime before HW catches up.

When both lcd and tv are enabled, the order in which they will be probed is
unknown, so it might happen (and it happens in reality) that tv is
configured as display0 and lcd as display1, which results in nothing
displayed on lcd, as display1 is disabled by default.
Fix that by providing correct aliases for lcd and tv

Let's update the existing users with features and clock data as
specified in the binding. This is currently the smartreflex for most
part, and also few omap4 modules with no child device driver like
mcasp, abe iss and gfx.
Note that we had few mistakes that did not get noticed as we're still
probing the SmartReflex driver with legacy platform data and using
"ti,hwmods" legacy property for ti-sysc driver.
So let's fix the omap4 and dra7 smartreflex registers as there is no
no revision register.
And on omap4, the mcasp module has a revision register according to
the TRM.
And for omap34xx we need a different configuration compared to 36xx.
And the smartreflex on 3517 we've always kept disabled so let's
remove any references to it.

The smartreflex instance for mpu and iva is shared. Let's fix this as I've
already gotten confused myself few times wondering where the mpu instance
is. Note that we are still probing the driver using platform data so this
change is safe to do.

Setting si_code to 0 is the same a setting si_code to SI_USER which is definitely
not correct. With si_code set to SI_USER si_pid and si_uid will be copied to
userspace instead of si_addr. Which is very wrong.
So fix this by using a sensible si_code (SEGV_MAPERR) for this failure.

This is the same si_code as SI_USER. Posix and common sense requires
that SI_USER not be a signal specific si_code. As such this use of 0
for the si_code is a pretty horribly broken ABI.
Further use of si_code == 0 guaranteed that copy_siginfo_to_user saw a
value of __SI_KILL and now sees a value of SIL_KILL with the result
that uid and pid fields are copied and which might copying the si_addr
field by accident but certainly not by design. Making this a very
flakey implementation.
Utilizing FPE_FIXME, siginfo_layout will now return SIL_FAULT and the
appropriate fields will be reliably copied.
Possible ABI fixes includee:
- Send the signal without siginfo
- Don't generate a signal
- Possibly assign and use an appropriate si_code
- Don't handle cases which can't happen

But folks this is a new and unique kind of bad. This is massively
untested code bad. This is inventing new and unique was to get
siginfo wrong bad. This is don't even think about Posix or what
siginfo means bad. This is lots of eyeballs all missing the fact
that the code does the wrong thing bad. This is getting stuck
and keep making the same mistake bad.
I really hope we can find a non userspace breaking fix for this on a
port as new as arm64.
Possible ABI fixes include:
- Send the signal without siginfo
- Don't generate a signal
- Possibly assign and use an appropriate si_code
- Don't handle cases which can't happen

Setting si_code to 0 results in a userspace seeing an si_code of 0.
This is the same si_code as SI_USER. Posix and common sense requires
that SI_USER not be a signal specific si_code. As such this use of 0
for the si_code is a pretty horribly broken ABI.
Further use of si_code == 0 guaranteed that copy_siginfo_to_user saw a
value of __SI_KILL and now sees a value of SIL_KILL with the result
hat uid and pid fields are copied and which might copying the si_addr
field by accident but certainly not by design. Making this a very
flakey implementation.
Utilizing FPE_FIXME siginfo_layout will now return SIL_FAULT and the
appropriate fields will reliably be copied.

While reviewing the signal sending on openrisc the do_unaligned_access
function stood out because it is obviously wrong. A comment about an
si_code set above when actually si_code is never set. Leading to a
random si_code being sent to userspace in the event of an unaligned
access.
Looking further SIGBUS BUS_ADRALN is the proper pair of signal and
si_code to send for an unaligned access. That is what other
architectures do and what is required by posix.
Given that do_unaligned_access is broken in a way that no one can be
relying on it on openrisc fix the code to just do the right thing.

When replacing the cpm by cp0 and cps by cp1 [1] not only the label and
the alias were replaced but also the compatible string which was wrong.
Due to this the pinctrl driver was no more probed.
This patch fix it by reverting this change for the pinctrl compatible
string on Armada 8K.

Perf-fuzzer triggers non-existent MSR access in RAPL driver on
Haswell-EX.
Haswell/Broadwell server and client have differnt RAPL events.
Since 'commit 7f2236d0bf9a ("perf/x86/rapl: Use Intel family macros for
RAPL")', it accidentally assign RAPL client events to server.

Convert salsa20-asm from the deprecated "blkcipher" API to the
"skcipher" API, in the process fixing it up to use the generic helpers.
This allows removing the salsa20_keysetup() and salsa20_ivsetup()
assembly functions, which aren't performance critical; the C versions do
just fine.
This also fixes the same bug that salsa20-generic had, where the state
array was being maintained directly in the transform context rather than
on the stack or in the request context. Thus, if multiple threads used
the same Salsa20 transform concurrently they produced the wrong results.

We need to consistently enforce that keyed hashes cannot be used without
setting the key. To do this we need a reliable way to determine whether
a given hash algorithm is keyed or not. AF_ALG currently does this by
checking for the presence of a ->setkey() method. However, this is
actually slightly broken because the CRC-32 algorithms implement
->setkey() but can also be used without a key. (The CRC-32 "key" is not
actually a cryptographic key but rather represents the initial state.
If not overridden, then a default initial state is used.)
Prepare to fix this by introducing a flag CRYPTO_ALG_OPTIONAL_KEY which
indicates that the algorithm has a ->setkey() method, but it is not
required to be called. Then set it on all the CRC-32 algorithms.
The same also applies to the Adler-32 implementation in Lustre.
Also, the cryptd and mcryptd templates have to pass through the flag
from their underlying algorithm.

Since Poly1305 requires a nonce per invocation, the Linux kernel
implementations of Poly1305 don't use the crypto API's keying mechanism
and instead expect the key and nonce as the first 32 bytes of the data.
But ->setkey() is still defined as a stub returning an error code. This
prevents Poly1305 from being used through AF_ALG and will also break it
completely once we start enforcing that all crypto API users (not just
AF_ALG) call ->setkey() if present.
Fix it by removing crypto_poly1305_setkey(), leaving ->setkey as NULL.

In accordance with the Intel and AMD documentation, we need to overwrite
all entries in the RSB on exiting a guest, to prevent malicious branch
target predictions from affecting the host kernel. This is needed both
for retpoline and for IBRS.
