2015-11-20mac: validate mac_partition is within sectorKees Cook
If md->signature == MAC_DRIVER_MAGIC and md->block_size == 1023, a single 512 byte sector would be read (secsize / 512). However the partition structure would be located past the end of the buffer (secsize % 512). 2014-09-27block: Replace strnicmp with strncasecmpRasmus Villemoes
The kernel used to contain two functions for length-delimited, case-insensitive string comparison, strnicmp with correct semantics and a slightly buggy strncasecmp. The latter is the POSIX name, so strnicmp was renamed to strncasecmp, and strnicmp made into a wrapper for the new strncasecmp to avoid breaking existing users. To allow the compat wrapper strnicmp to be removed at some point in the future, and to avoid the extra indirection cost, do s/strnicmp/strncasecmp/g. 2013-02-27block/partitions/mac.c: obey the state->limit constraintMing Lei
It isn't necessary to read the information of partitions whose number is equal and more than state->limit since only maximum state->limit partitions will be added inside rescan_partitions(). That is also what other kind of partitions are doing.
