2016-04-05hwrng: bcm63xx - fix device tree compilationÁlvaro Fernández Rojas
Adds missing include that resulted in implicit device tree functions errors. Fixes: 7b651706712b ("hwrng: bcm63xx - add device tree support") Signed-off-by: Álvaro Fernández Rojas <noltari@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>

2016-01-25hwrng: bcm63xx - add device tree supportÁlvaro Fernández Rojas
Adds device tree support for BCM6368, which seems to be the only BCM63xx with bcm63xx-rng support. Signed-off-by: Álvaro Fernández Rojas <noltari@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2016-01-25hwrng: bcm63xx - remove unused variablesÁlvaro Fernández Rojas
These variables where left as unused in commit 6229c16060fe ("hwrng: bcm63xx - make use of devm_hwrng_register") Fixes the following warning: drivers/char/hw_random/bcm63xx-rng.c: In function 'bcm63xx_rng_probe': drivers/char/hw_random/bcm63xx-rng.c:85:16: warning: unused variable 'rng' [-Wunused-variable] struct hwrng *rng; ^ drivers/char/hw_random/bcm63xx-rng.c:82:14: warning: unused variable 'clk' [-Wunused-variable] struct clk *clk; Signed-off-by: Álvaro Fernández Rojas <noltari@gmail.com> Reviewed-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>

2015-03-16hwrng: bcm63xx - make use of devm_hwrng_registerDmitry Torokhov
This change converts bcm63xx-rng to use devm* API for managing all resources, which allows us to dispense with the rest of error handling path and remove() function. Also we combine hwern and driver-private data into a single allocation, use clk_prepare_enable() instead of "naked" clk_enable() and move clock enabling/disabling into hwrnd inti(0 and cleanup() methods so the clock stays off until rng is used. 2015-03-01hwrng: bcm63xx - use devm_* helpersFlorian Fainelli
Simplify the driver's probe function and error handling by using the device managed allocators, while at it, drop the redundant "out of memory" messages since these are already printed by the allocator. 2015-03-01hwrng: bcm63xx - move register definitions to driverFlorian Fainelli
arch/mips/include/asm/mach-bcm63xx/bcm63xx_regs.h contains the register definitions for this random number generator block, incorporate these register definitions directly into the bcm63xx-rng driver so we do not rely on this header to be provided. 2015-03-01hwrng: bcm63xx - drop bcm_{readl,writel} macrosFlorian Fainelli
bcm_{readl,writel} macros expand to __raw_{readl,writel}, use these directly such that we do not rely on the platform to provide these for us. As a result, we no longer use bcm63xx_io.h, so remove that inclusion too. Signed-off-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2014-10-20char: hw_random: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-05-24hwrng: bcm63xx - remove unnecessary platform_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han
The driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure, since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound). Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Herbert Xu <herbert@gondor.apana.org.au>
2013-01-03Drivers: char: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.
