2017-06-02clk: versatile: delete old RealView clock implementationLinus Walleij
The old RealView clock implementation is not used anymore (nothing in the kernel calls realview_clk_init()) as we have moved all clocks over to device tree. Delete it. Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org>
2017-04-07ARM/clk: move the ICST library to drivers/clkLinus Walleij
This moves the ICST clock divider helper library from arch/arm/common to drivers/clk/versatile so it is maintained with the other clock drivers. We keep the structure as a helper library intact and do not fuse it with the clk-icst.c Versatile ICST clock driver: there may be other users out there that need to use this library for their clocking, and then it will be helpful to keep the library contained. (The icst.[c|h] files could just be moved to drivers/clk/lib or a similar location to share the library.) 2016-03-15clk: versatile: Remove CLK_IS_ROOTStephen Boyd
This flag is a no-op now. Remove usage of the flag. Cc: Pawel Moll <pawel.moll@arm.com> Acked-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@codeaurora.org>
2015-12-15clk/realview: stop using machine headersArnd Bergmann
In order to move realview into multiplatform, we have to prevent device drivers from accessing the machine header files. In case of the clk driver, this is very simple, we just copy the small set of register definitions into the driver that needs them. 2015-08-24drivers/clk: appropriate __init annotation for const dataNicolas Pitre
Init data marked const should be annotated with __initconst for correctness and not __initdata. This also fixes LTO builds that otherwise fail with section mismatch errors. 2015-07-20clk: versatile: Remove clk.h and clkdev.h includesStephen Boyd
Clock provider drivers generally shouldn't include clk.h because it's the consumer API. Remove the include here because this is a provider driver. Also remove clkdev.h in files that aren't using it and replace them with slab.h in files that were relying on the implicit include of slab.h in clkdev.h. 2014-02-13clk: versatile: pass a parent to the ICST clockLinus Walleij
As we want to actually define the parent frequency in the device tree for the ICST clocks, modify the clock registration function to take a parent argument. Cc: Mike Turquette <mturquette@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2014-01-03clk: versatile: pass a name to ICST clock providerLinus Walleij
When we have more than one of these clocks in a system (such as on the IM-PD1) we need a mechanism to pass a name for the clock. Refactor to add this as an argument. Acked-by: Mike Turquette <mturquette@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Walleij <linus.walleij@linaro.org>
2012-11-21clk: make ICST driver handle the VCO registersLinus Walleij
It turns out that all platforms using the ICST VCO are really just touching two registers, and in the same way as well: one register with the VCO configuration as such, and one lock register that makes it possible to write to the VCO. Factor this register read/write into the ICST driver so we can reuse it in the IM-PD1 driver. 2012-11-21clk: add GPLv2 headers to the Versatile clock filesLinus Walleij
The GPLv2 headers were missing and the subsystem maintainer likes them so put them in. I am the copyright holder, so explicitly licensing these under the GPLv2. 2012-08-24clk: convert ARM RealView to common clkLinus Walleij
This converts the ARM RealView machine over to using the common clock. The approach is similar to the one used for the Integrator, and we're reusing the ICST wrapper code. We have to put the clock intialization in the timer init function for the clocks to be available when initializing the timer, keeping them in early_init() is too early for the common clk. Since we now have to go down and compile drivers/clk/versatile a CONFIG_COMMON_CLK_VERSATILE symbol has been added so the proper code gets compiled into the kernel for either machine. A leftover CLK_VERSATILE in the Integrator Kconfig was fixed up to use the new symbol as well. Tested on ARM RealView PB1176.
