2021-10-25dmaengine: milbeaut-hdmac: Prefer kcalloc over open coded arithmeticLen Baker
As noted in the "Deprecated Interfaces, Language Features, Attributes, and Conventions" documentation [1], size calculations (especially multiplication) should not be performed in memory allocator (or similar) function arguments due to the risk of them overflowing. This could lead to values wrapping around and a smaller allocation being made than the caller was expecting. Using those allocations could lead to linear overflows of heap memory and other misbehaviors. So, use the purpose specific kcalloc() function instead of the argument size * count in the kzalloc() function. 2020-06-15dmaengine: Replace zero-length array with flexible-arrayGustavo A. R. Silva
There is a regular need in the kernel to provide a way to declare having a dynamically sized set of trailing elements in a structure. Kernel code should always use “flexible array members”[1] for these cases. The older style of one-element or zero-length arrays should no longer be used[2]. 2019-10-18dmaengine: milbeaut-hdmac: Add HDMAC driver for Milbeaut platformsJassi Brar
Driver for Socionext Milbeaut HDMAC controller. The controller has upto 8 floating channels, that need a predefined slave-id to work from a set of slaves.
