2019-07-17drm/rockchip: drop use of drmP.hSam Ravnborg
Drop use of the deprecated drmP.h header file. While touching the list of include files move the blocks so they follow the common pattern: \#include <linux/*> \#include <video/*> \#include <drm/*> \#include "" Within each block sort the include files. Add the includes needed to fix build after the removal of drmP.h. 2019-01-24drm: Split out drm_probe_helper.hDaniel Vetter
Having the probe helper stuff (which pretty much everyone needs) in the drm_crtc_helper.h file (which atomic drivers should never need) is confusing. Split them out. To make sure I actually achieved the goal here I went through all drivers. And indeed, all atomic drivers are now free of drm_crtc_helper.h includes. v2: Make it compile. There was so much compile fail on arm drivers that I figured I'll better not include any of the acks on v1. v3: Massive rebase because i915 has lost a lot of drmP.h includes, but not all: Through drm_crtc_helper.h > drm_modeset_helper.h -> drmP.h there was still one, which this patch largely removes. Which means rolling out lots more includes all over. This will also conflict with ongoing drmP.h cleanup by others I expect. v3: Rebase on top of atomic bochs. v4: Review from Laurent for bridge/rcar/omap/shmob/core bits: - (re)move some of the added includes, use the better include files in other places (all suggested from Laurent adopted unchanged). - sort alphabetically v5: Actually try to sort them, and while at it, sort all the ones I touch. v6: Rebase onto i915 changes. v7: Rebase once more. 2018-06-16drm/rockchip: lvds: add missing of_node_putJulia Lawall
The device node iterators perform an of_node_get on each iteration, so a jump out of the loop requires an of_node_put. The semantic patch that fixes this problem is as follows (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr): // <smpl> @@ expression root,e; local idexpression child; iterator name for_each_child_of_node; @@ for_each_child_of_node(root, child) { ... when != of_node_put(child) when != e = child + of_node_put(child); ? break; ... } ... when != child // </smpl> Fixes: 34cc0aa25456 ("drm/rockchip: Add support for Rockchip Soc LVDS") Cc: stable@vger.kernel.org Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Heiko Stuebner <heiko@sntech.de> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/1527102436-13447-6-git-send-email-Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr

2018-02-05drm/rockchip: lvds: Explicitly include pinctrl headersThierry Reding
The Rockchip LVDS driver fails to build after commit 23c35f48f5fb ("pinctrl: remove include file from <linux/device.h>") because it relies on the pinctrl/consumer.h and pinctrl/devinfo.h being pulled in by the device.h header implicitly. Include these headers explicitly to avoid the build failure. 2017-09-21drm/rockchip: Fix uninitialized use of retSean Paul
If there are no children for lvds, ret is used uninitialized. This patch initializes ret and returns an error if the port has no children.
