2015-08-24i2c: Replace I2C_CROS_EC_TUNNEL dependencyJavier Martinez Canillas
The ChromeOS EC tunnel I2C bus driver depend on CROS_EC_PROTO but MFD_CROS_EC select CROS_EC_PROTO instead. Mixing select and depends on is bad practice as it may lead to circular Kconfig dependencies. Since the platform device that is matched with the I2C bus driver is registered by the ChromeOS EC mfd driver, I2C_CROS_EC_TUNNEL really depends on MFD_CROS_EC. And because this config option selects CROS_EC_PROTO, that dependency is met as well. So make the driver to depend on MFD_CROS_EC instead of CROS_EC_PROTO. 2015-08-24i2c: lpc2k: add driverJoachim Eastwood
Add support for the I2C controller found on several NXP devices including LPC2xxx, LPC178x/7x and LPC18xx/43xx. The controller is implemented as a state machine and the driver act upon the state changes when the bus is accessed. The I2C controller supports master/slave operation, bus arbitration, programmable clock rate, and speeds up to 1 Mbit/s. 2015-06-15mfd: cros_ec: Move protocol helpers out of the MFD driverJavier Martinez Canillas
The MFD driver should only have the logic to instantiate its child devices and setup any shared resources that will be used by the subdevices drivers. The cros_ec MFD is more complex than expected since it also has helpers to communicate with the EC. So the driver will only get more bigger as other protocols are supported in the future. So move the communication protocol helpers to its own driver as drivers/platform/chrome/cros_ec_proto.c. This patch implements an I2C bus sharing mechanism between the host and platform hardware on select Intel BayTrail SoC platforms using the X-Powers AXP288 PMIC. On these platforms access to the PMIC must be shared with platform hardware. The hardware unit assumes full control of the I2C bus and the host must request access through a special semaphore. 2014-10-06i2c: designware: Add support for AMD I2C controllerCarl Peng
Add support for AMD version of the DW I2C host controller. The device is enumerated from ACPI namespace with ACPI ID AMD0010. Because the core driver needs an input source clock, and this is not an Intel LPSS device where clocks are provided through drivers/acpi/acpi_lpss.c, we register the clock ourselves if the clock rate is given in ->driver_data Signed-off-by: Carl Peng <carlpeng008@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mika Westerberg <mika.westerberg@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-10-03i2c: axxia: Add I2C driver for AXM55xxAnders Berg
Add I2C bus driver for the controller found in the LSI Axxia family SoCs. The driver implements 10-bit addressing and SMBus transfer modes via emulation (including SMBus block data read). Signed-off-by: Anders Berg <anders.berg@avagotech.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-10-03i2c: exynos: add support for HSI2C module on Exynos7Naveen Krishna Ch
The HSI2C module on Exynos7 differs in the transfer status bits. Transfer status bits were moved to INT_ENABLE and INT_STATUS registers This patch adds support for the HSI2C module on Exynos7. 1. Implementes a "hw" field in the variant struct to distinguish the hardware. 2. Updates the dt-new compatible in dt-binding documenation Signed-off-by: Naveen Krishna Chatradhi <ch.naveen@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>

2014-07-16i2c: scx200: drop GPIO based i2c driverWolfram Sang
This driver is marked as deprecated since the pre-git era. Any user left(?) should really have switched to i2c-gpio meanwhile. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de> Acked-by: Jim Cromie <jim.cromie@gmail.com>
2014-07-16i2c: s6000: remove duplicate driverWolfram Sang
It turned out that the s6000 simply has a designware IP core and should use the designated driver for it which is way more maintained and feature complete. There are currently no users in tree, and not even a toolchain for s6000 seems to be available. So, simply remove this duplicate. If someone needs assistance in converting to the designware driver, the i2c list will be there to help. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2014-06-12i2c: sunxi: add P2WI (Push/Pull 2 Wire Interface) controller supportBoris BREZILLON
The P2WI controller looks like an SMBus controller which only supports byte data transfers. But, it differs from standard SMBus protocol on several aspects: - it supports only one slave device, and thus drop the address field - it adds a parity bit every 8bits of data - only one read access is required to read a byte (instead of a write followed by a read access in standard SMBus protocol) - there's no Ack bit after each byte transfer This means this bus cannot be used to interface with standard SMBus devices (the only known device to support this interface is the AXP221 PMIC). However the P2WI protocol is close enough to SMBus to be integrated in the I2C subsystem (see this thread [1] for detailed reasons that led to integrating this driver in the I2C subsystem).
