2022-11-01 | i2c: amd-mp2: use msix/msi if the hardware supports | Raju Rangoju
Use msix or msi interrupts if the hardware supports it. Else, fallback to legacy interrupts. 2022-02-07 | i2c: amd-mp2: Remove useless DMA-32 fallback configuration | Christophe JAILLET
As stated in [1], dma_set_mask() with a 64-bit mask never fails if dev->dma_mask is non-NULL. So, if it fails, the 32 bits case will also fail for the same reason. Simplify code and remove some dead code accordingly. 2021-10-02 | i2c: switch from 'pci_' to 'dma_' API | Christophe JAILLET
The wrappers in include/linux/pci-dma-compat.h should go away. The patch has been generated with the coccinelle script below. It has been hand modified to use 'dma_set_mask_and_coherent()' instead of 'pci_set_dma_mask()/pci_set_consistent_dma_mask()' when applicable. This is less verbose. While at it a 'dev_err()' message has been slightly simplified. It has been compile tested. @@ @@ - PCI_DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL + DMA_BIDIRECTIONAL @@ @@ - PCI_DMA_TODEVICE + DMA_TO_DEVICE @@ @@ - PCI_DMA_FROMDEVICE + DMA_FROM_DEVICE @@ @@ - PCI_DMA_NONE + DMA_NONE @@ expression e1, e2, e3; @@ - pci_alloc_consistent(e1, e2, e3) + dma_alloc_coherent(&e1->dev, e2, e3, GFP_) @@ expression e1, e2, e3; @@ - pci_zalloc_consistent(e1, e2, e3) + dma_alloc_coherent(&e1->dev, e2, e3, GFP_) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_free_consistent(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_free_coherent(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_map_single(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_map_single(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_unmap_single(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_unmap_single(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4, e5; @@ - pci_map_page(e1, e2, e3, e4, e5) + dma_map_page(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4, e5) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_unmap_page(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_unmap_page(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_map_sg(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_map_sg(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_unmap_sg(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_unmap_sg(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_dma_sync_single_for_cpu(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_sync_single_for_cpu(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_dma_sync_single_for_device(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_sync_single_for_device(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_dma_sync_sg_for_cpu(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_sync_sg_for_cpu(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2, e3, e4; @@ - pci_dma_sync_sg_for_device(e1, e2, e3, e4) + dma_sync_sg_for_device(&e1->dev, e2, e3, e4) @@ expression e1, e2; @@ - pci_dma_mapping_error(e1, e2) + dma_mapping_error(&e1->dev, e2) @@ expression e1, e2; @@ - pci_set_dma_mask(e1, e2) + dma_set_mask(&e1->dev, e2) @@ expression e1, e2; @@ - pci_set_consistent_dma_mask(e1, e2) + dma_set_coherent_mask(&e1->dev, e2) Signed-off-by: Christophe JAILLET <christophe.jaillet@wanadoo.fr> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@kernel.org>

Add a generic helper to match any/all devices. Using this introduce new wrappers {bus/driver/class}_find_next_device(). Cc: Elie Morisse <syniurge@gmail.com> Cc: "James E.J. 2019-06-24 | driver_find_device: Unify the match function with class_find_device() | Suzuki K Poulose
The driver_find_device() accepts a match function pointer to filter the devices for lookup, similar to bus/class_find_device(). However, there is a minor difference in the prototype for the match parameter for driver_find_device() with the now unified version accepted by {bus/class}_find_device(), where it doesn't accept a "const" qualifier for the data argument. This prevents us from reusing the generic match functions for driver_find_device(). For this reason, change the prototype of the driver_find_device() to make the "match" parameter in line with {bus/class}_find_device() and adjust its callers to use the const qualifier. Also, we could now promote the "data" parameter to const as we pass it down as a const parameter to the match functions. 2019-03-25 | i2c: Add drivers for the AMD PCIe MP2 I2C controller | Elie Morisse
MP2 controllers have two separate busses, so may accommodate up to two I2C adapters. Those adapters are listed in the ACPI namespace with the "AMDI0011" HID, and probed by a platform driver. Communication with the MP2 takes place through MMIO registers, or through DMA for more than 32 bytes transfers. This is major rework of the patch submitted by Nehal-bakulchandra Shah from AMD (https://patchwork.kernel.org/patch/10597369/). Most of the event handling of v3 was rewritten to make it work with more than one bus (e.g on Ryzen-based Lenovo Yoga 530), and this version contains many other improvements.
