2020-12-03iio:trigger: rename try_reenable() to reenable() plus return voidJonathan Cameron
As we no longer support a try again if we cannot reenable the trigger rename the function to reflect this. Also we don't do anything with the value returned so stop it returning anything. For the few drivers that didn't already print an error message in this patch, add such a print. 2020-06-14iio: remove explicit IIO device parent assignmentAlexandru Ardelean
This patch applies the semantic patch: @@ expression I, P, SP; @@ I = devm_iio_device_alloc(P, SP); ... - I->dev.parent = P; It updates 302 files and does 307 deletions. This semantic patch also removes some comments like '/* Establish that the iio_dev is a child of the i2c device */' But this is is only done in case where the block is left empty. The patch does not seem to cover all cases. It looks like in some cases a different variable is used in some cases to assign the parent, but it points to the same reference. In other cases, the block covered by ... may be just too big to be covered by the semantic patch. However, this looks pretty good as well, as it does cover a big bulk of the drivers that should remove the parent assignment. The mxc6655 is fully working with the existing mxc4005 driver. Add support for it. Signed-off-by: Christian Oder <me@myself5.de> Signed-off-by: Jonathan Cameron <Jonathan.Cameron@huawei.com>
2020-04-19iio:accel:mxc4005: Drop unnecessary explicit casts in regmap_bulk_read callsJonathan Cameron
regmap_bulk_read takes a void * for its val parameter. It certainly makes no sense to cast to a (u8 *) + no need to explicitly cast at all when converting another pointer type to void *. 2016-04-03iio: remove gpio interrupt probing from drivers that use a single interruptIrina Tirdea
Commit 845c877009cf014b ("i2c / ACPI: Assign IRQ for devices that have GpioInt automatically") automatically assigns the first ACPI GPIO interrupt in client->irq, so we can remove the probing code from drivers that use only one interrupt. Commit 0f0796509c07c1c7 ("iio: remove gpio interrupt probing from drivers that use a single interrupt") removes gpio interrupt probing from most drivers. This patch cleans the remaining ones.
