2022-03-18media: platform: rename davinci/ to ti/davinci/Mauro Carvalho Chehab
As the end goal is to have platform drivers split by vendor, rename davinci/ to ti/davinci/. Reviewed-by: Laurent Pinchart <laurent.pinchart@ideasonboard.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@kernel.org>

2021-06-17media: subdev: disallow ioctl for saa6588/davinciArnd Bergmann
The saa6588_ioctl() function expects to get called from other kernel functions with a 'saa6588_command' pointer, but I found nothing stops it from getting called from user space instead, which seems rather dangerous. The same thing happens in the davinci vpbe driver with its VENC_GET_FLD command. As a quick fix, add a separate .command() callback pointer for this driver and change the two callers over to that. This change can easily get backported to stable kernels if necessary, but since there are only two drivers, we may want to eventually replace this with a set of more specialized callbacks in the long run. Smatch complains that "venc" could be uninitialized. There are a couple of error paths where it looks like maybe that could happen. I don't know if it's really a bug, but it's reasonable to set "venc" to NULL and silence the warning. 2012-12-21[media] davinci: vpbe: pass different platform names to handle different ip'sLad, Prabhakar
The vpbe driver can handle different platforms DM644X, DM36X and DM355. To differentiate between this platforms venc_type/vpbe_type was passed as part of platform data which was incorrect. The correct way to differentiate to handle this case is by passing different platform names. This patch creates platform_device_id[] array supporting different platforms and assigns id_table to the platform driver, and finally in the probe gets the actual device by using platform_get_device_id() and gets the appropriate driver data for that platform. Taking this approach will also make the DT transition easier.
