suspend/resume
When not configured for wakeup lis3lv02d_i2c_suspend() will call
lis3lv02d_poweroff() even if the device has already been turned off
by the runtime-suspend handler and if configured for wakeup and
the device is runtime-suspended at this point then it is not turned
back on to serve as a wakeup source.
Before commit b1b9f7a49440 ("misc: lis3lv02d_i2c: Add missing setting
of the reg_ctrl callback"), lis3lv02d_poweroff() failed to disable
the regulators which as a side effect made calling poweroff() twice ok.
Now that poweroff() correctly disables the regulators, doing this twice
triggers a WARN() in the regulator core:
unbalanced disables for regulator-dummy

Fix lis3lv02d_i2c_suspend() to not call poweroff() a second time if
already runtime-suspended and add a poweron() call when necessary to
make wakeup work.
lis3lv02d_i2c_resume() has similar issues, with an added weirness that
it always powers on the device if it is runtime suspended, after which
the first runtime-resume will call poweron() again, causing the enabled
count for the regulator to increase by 1 every suspend/resume. These
unbalanced regulator_enable() calls cause the regulator to never
be turned off and trigger the following WARN() on driver unbind:

Fix this by making lis3lv02d_i2c_resume() mirror the new suspend().

The lis3lv02d_i2c driver was missing a line to set the lis3_dev's
reg_ctrl callback.
lis3_reg_ctrl(on) is called from the init callback, but due to
the missing reg_ctrl callback the regulators where never turned off

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new()
call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then
03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert
back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from
struct i2c_driver.
While touching these drivers, fix alignment in apds990x.c and bh1770glc.c.

The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored.
(Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the
error is ignored.)
So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This
way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to
the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly.
There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to
return 0 before.

Up to now lis3lv02d_remove_fs() returns zero unconditionally. Make it return
void instead which makes it easier to see in the callers that there is
no error to handle.
Also the return value of i2c and spi remove callbacks is ignored anyway.

According to ACPI specification the _INI method must be called
when device is enumerated first time. After that there is no need
to repeat the procedure. Convert the lis3lv02d_acpi_init() to be
a stub (Note, we may not remove it because it is called unconditionally
by the accelerometer main driver).

hp_accel can take almost two seconds to resume on some HP laptops.
The bottleneck is on evaluating _INI, which is only needed to run once.
Resolve the issue by only invoking _INI when it's necessary. Namely, on
probe and on hibernation restore.

sensors to -ENODEV
Modern HP laptops do not necessarily actually contain a lis3lv02d
sensor, yet they still define a HPQ6007 device in there ACPI tables.
This leads to the following messages being logged in dmesg:

The third message is unnecessary and does not provide any useful info,
change the return value for unknown sensors to -ENODEV. This is the
proper return value to indicate that the driver will not be handling the
device and it silences the pr_warn printing the third message.

Before this commit lis3lv02d_get_pwron_wait() had a WARN_ONCE() to catch
a potential divide by 0. WARN macros should only be used to catch internal
kernel bugs and that is not the case here. We have been receiving a lot of
bug reports about kernel backtraces caused by this WARN.
The div value being checked comes from the lis3->odrs[] array. Which
is sized to be a power-of-2 matching the number of bits in lis3->odr_mask.
The only lis3 model where this array is not entirely filled with non zero
values. IOW the only model where we can hit the div == 0 check is the
3dc ("8 bits 3DC sensor") model:
int lis3_3dc_rates[16] = {0, 1, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, 1600, 5000};
Note the 0 value at index 0, according to the datasheet an odr index of 0
means "Power-down mode". HP typically uses a lis3 accelerometer for HDD
fall protection. What I believe is happening here is that on newer
HP devices, which only contain a SDD, the BIOS is leaving the lis3 device
powered-down since it is not used for HDD fall protection.
Note that the lis3_3dc_rates array initializer only specifies 10 values,
which matches the datasheet. So it also contains 6 zero values at the end.
Replace the WARN with a normal check, which treats an odr index of 0
as power-down and uses a normal dev_err() to report the error in case
odr index point past the initialized part of the array.

'default n' is the default value for any bool or tristate Kconfig
setting so there is no need to write it explicitly.
Also since commit f467c5640c29 ("kconfig: only write '# CONFIG_FOO
is not set' for visible symbols") the Kconfig behavior is the same
regardless of 'default n' being present or not:
...
One side effect of (and the main motivation for) this change is making
the following two definitions behave exactly the same:
config FOO
bool
config FOO
bool
default n
With this change, neither of these will generate a
'# CONFIG_FOO is not set' line (assuming FOO isn't selected/implied).
That might make it clearer to people that a bare 'default n' is
redundant.

The next patch from Al will sort out the final differences, and we
should be all done.

Most code already uses consts for the struct kernel_param_ops,
sweep the kernel for the last offending stragglers. Other than
include/linux/moduleparam.h and kernel/params.c all other changes
were generated with the following Coccinelle SmPL patch. Merge
conflicts between trees can be handled with Coccinelle.
In the future git could get Coccinelle merge support to deal with
patch --> fail --> grammar --> Coccinelle --> new patch conflicts
automatically for us on patches where the grammar is available and
the patch is of high confidence. Consider this a feature request.

st,axis-{x,y,z} can be negative to imply inverted
axis.
Apart from that the minimal and maximal threshold
may be negative.

After commit b2b49ccbdd54 (PM: Kconfig: Set PM_RUNTIME if PM_SLEEP is
selected) PM_RUNTIME is always set if PM is set, so #ifdef blocks
depending on CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME may now be changed to depend on
CONFIG_PM.
Replace CONFIG_PM_RUNTIME with CONFIG_PM everywhere under
drivers/misc/.

None of these files are actually using any __init type directives
and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a
left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to
code getting copied from one driver to the next.

The usage of strict_strtoul() is not preferred, because
strict_strtoul() is obsolete. Thus, kstrtoul() should be
used.

Add lis3lv02d device tree initialization code/API to take pdata from
device node. Also adds device tree init matching table support to
lis3lv02d_i2c driver. If the driver data is passed from device tree, then
this driver picks up platform data from device node through common/generic
lis3lv02d.c driver.

Remove lis3lv02d driver device tree initialization from core driver and
move it to individual drivers. With the current implementation some pdata
parameters are missing if we use lis3lv02d_init_device() in lis3lv02d_i2c
driver.

If probed from a device tree, this driver now passes the node information
to the generic part, so the runtime information can be derived.
Successfully tested on a PXA3xx board.

Adds logic to parse lis3 properties from a device tree node and store them
in a freshly allocated lis3lv02d_platform_data.
Note that the actual match tables are left out here. This part should
happen in the drivers that bind to the individual busses (SPI/I2C/PCI).
Also adds some DT bindinds documentation.

This patch adds support for lis331dlh digital accelerometer to the
lis3lv02d driver family. Adds ID field for detecting the lis331dlh
module, based on this ID field lis3lv02d driver will export the
lis331dlh module functionality.
