When calling debugfs functions, there is no need to ever check the return value. The function can work or not, but the code logic should never do something different based on this. 2019-02-25mmc: slot-gpio: Remove override_active_level on WPLinus Walleij
The argument "override_active_level" made it possible to enforce a specific polarity on the write-protect GPIO line. All callers in the kernel pass "false" to this call after I have converted all drivers to use GPIO machine descriptors, so remove the argument and clean out this. This kind of polarity inversion should be handled by the GPIO descriptor inside the GPIO library if needed. This rids us of one instance of the kludgy calls into the gpiod_get_raw_value() API. 2018-12-17mmc: s3cmci: Use the slot GPIO descriptorLinus Walleij
Simplify things by making the S3CMCI driver just use slot GPIO with descriptors instead of passing around the global GPIO numbers that we want to get rid of. Getting the names of the GPIO chips into the machine descriptor tables was a bit of a challenge but I think I have them right. The platform data supports passing in inversion flags, but no platform is using them, and it is highly unlikely that we will add more, so drop them. The long term plan is to let the inversion flags on the GPIO machine descriptor do the job. The lines are flagged as GPIO_ACTIVE_[LOW|HIGH] as that is what they are, and since we can now rely on the descriptors to have the right polarity, we set the "override_active_level" to false in mmc_gpiod_request_cd() and mmc_gpiod_request_ro(). 2013-12-20ARM: s3c24xx: get rid of custom <mach/gpio.h>Linus Walleij
This isolates the custom S3C24xx GPIO definition table to <linux/platform_data/gpio-samsung-s3x24xx.h> as this is used in a few different places in the kernel, removing the need to depend on the implicit inclusion of <mach/gpio.h> from <linux/gpio.h> and thus getting rid of a few nasty cross-dependencies. We also delete the nifty CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA stuff. The biggest this can ever be for the S3C24XX is CONFIG_S3C24XX_GPIO_EXTRA = 128, and then for CPU_S3C2443 or CPU_S3C2416 32*12 GPIOs are added, so 32*12+128 = 512 is the absolute roof value on this platform. So we set the size of ARCH_NR_GPIO to this and the GPIOs array will fit any S3C24XX platform, as per pattern from other archs. ChangeLog v2->v3: - Move the movement of the S3C64XX gpio.h file out of this patch and into the follow-up patch where it belongs. ChangeLog v1->v2: - Added an #ifdef ARCH_S3C24XX around the header inclusion in drivers/gpio/gpio-samsung.c as we would otherwise have colliding definitions when compiling S3C64XX. - Rename inclusion guard in the header file. 2013-10-30mmc: s3cmci: Remove redundant suspend and resume callbacksUlf Hansson
Suspend and resume of cards are handled by the protocol layer and consequently the mmc_suspend|resume_host APIs are marked as deprecated. While moving away from using the deprecated APIs, there are nothing left to be done for the suspend and resume callbacks, so remove them.
