Firmware resets initiated by the user are not errors and should not
be reported via devlink. Once only unsolicited resets remain, it is no
longer sensible to maintain a separate fw_reset reporter.

The reported parameter value should not take into account the state
of remote drivers. Firmware will reject remote resets as appropriate,
thus it is not strictly necessary to check HOT_RESET_ALLOWED before
attempting to initiate a reset. But we add the check so that we can
provide more intuitive messages when reset is not permitted.
This firmware setting needs to be restored from all functions after
a firmware reset.

Similar to reload driver_reinit, the RTNL lock is held across reload
down and up to prevent interleaving state changes. But we need to
subsequently release the RTNL lock while waiting for firmware reset
to complete.
Also keep a statistic on fw_activate resets initiated remotely from
other functions.

devlink is a software interface that doesn't depend on any hardware
capabilities. The failure in SW means memory issues, wrong parameters,
programmer error e.t.c.
Like any other such interface in the kernel, the returned status of
devlink APIs should be checked and propagated further and not ignored.

P5 devices store NVM arrays using a different internal representation.
This implementation detail permeates into the HWRM API, requiring the
caller to explicitly index the array elements in HWRM_NVM_GET_VARIABLE
on these devices. Conversely, older devices do not support the indexed
mode of operation and require reading the raw NVM content.

Add a new function bnxt_dl_info_put() to simplify the code, as there
are more stored firmware version fields to be added in the next patch.
Also, rename fw_ver variable name to ncsi_ver for better naming while
copying to devlink info_get cb.
v2:
Ensure active_pkg_name string is NULL terminated when copied to
devlink.
Return directly from the last call to bnxt_dl_info_put().

Broadcom adapters support only maximum of 512 CQs per PF. If user sets
MSIx vectors more than supported CQs, firmware is setting incorrect value
for msix_vec_per_pf_max parameter. Fix it by reducing the BNXT_MSIX_VEC_MAX
value to 512, even though the maximum # of MSIx vectors supported by adapter
are 1280.

Fix the logic to properly check the fw capabilities and create the
devlink health reporters only when needed. The current code creates
the reporters unconditionally as long as bp->fw_health is valid, and
that's not correct.
Call bnxt_dl_fw_reporters_create() directly from the init and reset
code path instead of from bnxt_dl_register(). This allows the
reporters to be adjusted when capabilities change. The same
applies to bnxt_dl_fw_reporters_destroy().

The current code that rounds up the NVRAM parameter bit size to the next
byte size for the devlink parameter is not always correct. The MSIX
devlink parameters are 4 bytes and we don't get the correct size
using this method.
Fix it by adding a new dl_num_bytes member to the bnxt_dl_nvm_param
structure which statically provides bytesize information according
to the devlink parameter type definition.

the notification from firmware about the impending reset, the driver
will report this to devlink and the call to bnxt_fw_reset() will be
initiated to complete the reset sequence.

This patch adds support for following generic permanent mode
devlink parameters. They can be modified using devlink param
commands.
msix_vec_per_pf_max - This param sets the number of MSIX vectors
that the device requests from the host on driver initialization.
This value is set in the device which limits MSIX vectors per PF.
msix_vec_per_pf_min - This param sets the number of minimal MSIX
vectors required for the device initialization. Value 0 indicates
a default value is selected. This value is set in the device which
limits MSIX vectors per PF.

This patch adds support for ignore_ari generic permanent mode
devlink parameter. This parameter is disabled by default. It can be
enabled using devlink param commands.
ignore_ari - If enabled, device ignores ARI(Alternate Routing ID)
capability, even when platforms has the support and creates same number
of partitions when platform does not support ARI capability.
