2020-02-24chelsio: Replace zero-length array with flexible-array memberGustavo A. R. Silva
The current codebase makes use of the zero-length array language extension to the C90 standard, but the preferred mechanism to declare variable-length types such as these ones is a flexible array member[1][2], introduced in C99: struct foo { int stuff; struct boo array[]; }; By making use of the mechanism above, we will get a compiler warning in case the flexible array does not occur last in the structure, which will help us prevent some kind of undefined behavior bugs from being inadvertently introduced[3] to the codebase from now on. Also, notice that, dynamic memory allocations won't be affected by this change: "Flexible array members have incomplete type, and so the sizeof operator may not be applied. As a quirk of the original implementation of zero-length arrays, sizeof evaluates to zero."[1] This issue was found with the help of Coccinelle. 2018-12-15cxgb4: remove DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEBUGFS_FILE()Yangtao Li
We already have the DEFINE_SHOW_ATTRIBUTE. There is no need to define such a macro, so remove DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEBUGFS_FILE. Also use the DEFINE_SHOW_ATTRIBUTE macro to simplify some code. Signed-off-by: Yangtao Li <tiny.windzz@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2015-04-15VFS: Fix up some ->d_inode accesses in the chelsio driverDavid Howells
Fix up some ->d_inode accesses in the chelsio driver. (1) FILE_DATA() should just be replaced with file_inode(). (2) set_debugfs_file_size() should be removed and debugfs_create_file_size() should be used to create the file. 2015-02-17Merge branch 'for-linus' of ↵Linus Torvalds
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs Pull misc VFS updates from Al Viro: "This cycle a lot of stuff sits on topical branches, so I'll be sending more or less one pull request per branch. This is the first pile; more to follow in a few. In this one are several misc commits from early in the cycle (before I went for separate branches), plus the rework of mntput/dput ordering on umount, switching to use of fs_pin instead of convoluted games in namespace_unlock()" * 'for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs: switch the IO-triggering parts of umount to fs_pin new fs_pin killing logics allow attaching fs_pin to a group not associated with some superblock get rid of the second argument of acct_kill() take count and rcu_head out of fs_pin dcache: let the dentry count go down to zero without taking d_lock pull bumping refcount into ->kill() kill pin_put() mode_t whack-a-mole: chelsio file->f_path.dentry is pinned down for as long as the file is open... get rid of lustre_dump_dentry() gut proc_register() a bit kill d_validate() ncpfs: get rid of d_validate() nonsense selinuxfs: don't open-code d_genocide()

2015-01-24cxgb4: Add debugfs options to dump the rss key, config for PF, VF, etcHariprasad Shenai

2015-01-24cxgb4: Add debugfs entry to dump the contents of the flashHariprasad Shenai
Adds support to dump the contents of the flash in the adapter Signed-off-by: Hariprasad Shenai <hariprasad@chelsio.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2015-01-08cxgb4: Add support for cim_la entry in debugfsHariprasad Shenai
The CIM LA captures the embedded processor’s internal state. Optionally, it can also trace the flow of data in and out of the embedded processor. Therefore, the CIM LA output contains detailed information of what code the embedded processor executed prior to the CIM LA capture.
