2020-03-12net: dpaa: reject unsupported coalescing paramsJakub Kicinski
Set ethtool_ops->supported_coalesce_params to let the core reject unsupported coalescing parameters. This driver did not previously reject unsupported parameters (other than adaptive rx, which will now be rejected by core). Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org> Acked-by: Madalin Bucur <madalin.bucur@oss.nxp.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-03-03net/freescale: Don't set zero if FW not-available in dpaaLeon Romanovsky
Rely on ethtool to properly present the fact that FW is not available for the dpaa driver. Signed-off-by: Leon Romanovsky <leonro@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-03-03net/freescale: Clean drivers from static versionsLeon Romanovsky
There is no need to set static versions because linux kernel is released all together with same version applicable to the whole code base. Signed-off-by: Leon Romanovsky <leonro@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-10-31dpaa_eth: remove netdev_err() for user errorsMadalin Bucur
User reports that an application making an (incorrect) call to restart AN on a fixed link DPAA interface triggers an error in the kernel log while the returned EINVAL should be enough. 2019-10-31dpaa_eth: add dropped frames to percpu ethtool statsMadalin Bucur
Prior to this change, the frames dropped on receive or transmit were not displayed in the ethtool statistics, leaving the dropped frames unaccounted for. Signed-off-by: Madalin Bucur <madalin.bucur@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-10-31dpaa_eth: use only one buffer pool per interfaceMadalin Bucur
Currently the DPAA Ethernet driver is using three buffer pools for each interface, with three different sizes for the buffers provided for the FMan reception path. This patch reduces the number of buffer pools to one per interface. This change is in preparation of another, that will be switching from netdev_frags to page backed buffers for the receive path. 2019-05-28dpaa_eth: use only online CPU portalsMadalin Bucur
Make sure only the portals for the online CPUs are used. Without this change, there are issues when someone boots with maxcpus=n, with n < actual number of cores available as frames either received or corresponding to the transmit confirmation path would be offered for dequeue to the offline CPU portals, getting lost. 2019-02-12ptp_qoriq: make structure/function names more consistentYangbo Lu
Strings containing "ptp_qoriq" or "qoriq_ptp" which were used for structure/function names were complained by users. Let's just use the unique "ptp_qoriq" to make these names more consistent. This patch is just to unify the names using "ptp_qoriq". It hasn't changed any functions. Signed-off-by: Yangbo Lu <yangbo.lu@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Allow ethtool control of the DPAA QMan portal interrupt coalescing settings. Signed-off-by: Madalin Bucur <madalin.bucur@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2018-09-28net: ethernet: dpaa: remove unused variablesArnd Bergmann
The patch that removed the only users of the oldadv/newadv variables accidentally left the now-unused declarations behind: drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/dpaa/dpaa_ethtool.c: In function 'dpaa_set_pauseparam': drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/dpaa/dpaa_ethtool.c:185:14: error: unused variable 'oldadv' [-Werror=unused-variable] drivers/net/ethernet/freescale/dpaa/dpaa_ethtool.c:185:6: error: unused variable 'newadv' [-Werror=unused-variable] Fixes: 70814e819c11 ("net: ethernet: Add helper for set_pauseparam for Asym Pause") Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: David S. 2018-09-12net: ethernet: Add helper to determine if pause configuration is supportedAndrew Lunn
Rather than have MAC drivers open code the test, add a helper in phylib. This will help when we change the type of phydev->supported. Signed-off-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Reviewed-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2018-02-19dpaa_eth: fix pause capability advertisement logicJake Moroni
The ADVERTISED_Asym_Pause bit was being improperly set when both rx and tx pause were enabled. When rx and tx are both enabled, only the ADVERTISED_Pause bit is supposed to be set.
