This driver enables rising edge or falling edge, but not both, and so
this patch validates that the request contains only one of the two

User space may request time stamps on rising edges, falling edges, or
both. However, the particular mode may or may not be supported in the
hardware or in the driver. This patch adds a "strict" flag that tells
drivers to ensure that the requested mode will be honored.

Fix the mlx5 core PTP support to explicitly reject any future flags that
get added to the external timestamp request ioctl.
In order to maintain currently functioning code, this patch accepts all
three current flags. This is because the PTP_RISING_EDGE and
PTP_FALLING_EDGE flags have unclear semantics and each driver seems to
have interpreted them slightly differently.
[ RC: I'm not 100% sure what this driver does, but if I'm not wrong it
follows the dp83640:
flags Meaning
---------------------------------------------------- --------------------------
PTP_ENABLE_FEATURE Time stamp rising edge
PTP_ENABLE_FEATURE|PTP_RISING_EDGE Time stamp rising edge
PTP_ENABLE_FEATURE|PTP_FALLING_EDGE Time stamp falling edge
PTP_ENABLE_FEATURE|PTP_RISING_EDGE|PTP_FALLING_EDGE Time stamp falling edge

Commit 823eb2a3c4c7 ("PTP: add support for one-shot output") introduced
a new flag for the PTP periodic output request ioctl. This flag is not
currently supported by any driver.
Fix all drivers which implement the periodic output request ioctl to
explicitly reject any request with flags they do not understand. This
ensures that the driver does not accidentally misinterpret the
PTP_PEROUT_ONE_SHOT flag, or any new flag introduced in the future.
This is important for forward compatibility: if a new flag is
introduced, the driver should reject requests to enable the flag until
the driver has actually been modified to support the flag in question.

HV VHCA stats agent is responsible on running a preiodic rx/tx
packets/bytes stats update. Currently the supported format is version
MLX5_HV_VHCA_STATS_VERSION. Block ID 1 is dedicated for statistics data
transfer from the VF to the PF.
The reporter fetch the statistics data from all opened channels, fill it
in a buffer and send it to mlx5_hv_vhca_write_agent.
As the stats layer should include some metadata per block (sequence and
offset), the HV VHCA layer shall modify the buffer before actually send it
over block 1.

Control agent is responsible over of the control block (ID 0). It should
update the PF via this block about every capability change. In addition,
upon block 0 invalidate, it should activate all other supported agents
with data requests from the PF.
Upon agent create/destroy, the invalidate callback of the control agent
is being called in order to update the PF driver about this change.
The control agent is an integral part of HV VHCA and will be created
and destroy as part of the HV VHCA init/cleanup flow.

HV VHCA is a layer which provides PF to VF communication channel based on
HyperV PCI config channel. It implements Mellanox's Inter VHCA control
communication protocol. The protocol contains control block in order to
pass messages between the PF and VF drivers, and data blocks in order to
pass actual data.
The infrastructure is agent based. Each agent will be responsible of
contiguous buffer blocks in the VHCA config space. This infrastructure will
bind agents to their blocks, and those agents can only access read/write
the buffer blocks assigned to them. Each agent will provide three
callbacks (control, invalidate, cleanup). Control will be invoked when
block-0 is invalidated with a command that concerns this agent. Invalidate
callback will be invoked if one of the blocks assigned to this agent was
invalidated. Cleanup will be invoked before the agent is being freed in
order to clean all of its open resources or deferred works.
Block-0 serves as the control block. All execution commands from the PF
will be written by the PF over this block. VF will ack on those by
writing on block-0 as well. Its format is described by struct
mlx5_hv_vhca_control_block layout.

When calling debugfs functions, there is no need to ever check the

never do something different based on this.
This cleans up a lot of unneeded code and logic around the debugfs

Remove the limitation preventing adding a vport's MAC address to the
Multi-Physical Function Switch (MPFS) more than once per E-switch, as
there is no difference in the MPFS if an address is being used by an

The Vendor Specific Capability (VSC) is used to activate a gateway
interfacing with the device. The gateway is used to read or write
device configurations, which are organized in different domains (spaces).
A configuration access may result in multiple actions, reads, writes.
Example usages are accessing the Crspace domain to read the crspace or
locking a device semaphore using the Semaphore domain.

Use Geneve TLV Options object to manage the flex parser matching
on the 32-bit options data.
When the first flow with a certain class/type values is requested to
be offloaded, create a FW object with FW command (Geneve TLV Options
general object) and start counting the number of flows using this object.
During this time, any request with a different class/type values will
fail to be offloaded.
Once the refcount reaches 0, destroy the TLV options general object,
and can now offload a flow with any class/type parameters.
Geneve TLV Options object is added to core device.
It is currently used to manage Geneve TLV options general
object allocation in FW and its reference counting only.
In the future it will also be used for managing geneve ports
by registering callbacks for ndo_udp_tunnel_add/del.

encapsulations the entropy value is placed in the source port of the
UDP header.
The hardware may support entropy calculation specifically for GRE and
for all tunneling protocols. With commit df2ef3bff193 ("net/mlx5e: Add
GRE protocol offloading") GRE is offloaded, but the hardware is
configured by default to calculate flow entropy so packets transmitted
on the wire have a wrong key. To support UDP based tunnels (i.e VXLAN),
GRE (i.e. no flow entropy) and NVGRE (i.e. with flow entropy) the
hardware behaviour must be controlled by the driver.
Ensure port entropy calculation is enabled for offloaded VXLAN tunnels
and disable port entropy calculation in the presence of offloaded GRE
tunnels by monitoring the presence of entropy enabling tunnels (i.e
VXLAN) and entropy disabing tunnels (i.e GRE).

Read the system time right before and immediately after reading the low
register of the internal timer. This adds support for the
PTP_SYS_OFFSET_EXTENDED ioctl.

The timecounter needs to be updated at least once in half of the
cyclecounter interval to prevent timecounter_cyc2time() interpreting a
new timestamp as an old value and causing a backward jump.
This would be an issue if the timecounter multiplier was so small that
the update interval would not be limited by the 64-bit overflow in
multiplication.
Shorten the calculated interval to make sure the timecounter is updated
in time even when the system clock is slowed down by up to 10%, the
multiplier is increased by up to 10%, and the scheduled overflow check
is late by 15%.

In the sriov offloads mode, packets that are not matched by any
other rule are sent towards the e-switch vport manager for further
processing.
Under upcoming patches (e.g for uplink LAG), packets sent from VF
vports belonging to esw0 (e-switch related to PF0) might end up in
esw1 (e-switch related to PF1) due to muxing logic applied by the
FW.
In such a case we still want the missed packet to be sent to the
"base" esw manager vport in order to present the control plane a
consistent view of the source (VF reresentor) port.

Add explicit HW defined error values. For simplicity, keep counters for all
statuses starting from 0, although currently status=0 is not used.
Additionally, when HW signals an unexpected cable status, it is reported
now rather than ignored. And status counter is now updated on errors.

Use atomic notifier chain to fire events to mlx5 core driver
consumers (mlx5e/mlx5_ib) and provide mlx5 register/unregister notifier
API.
This API will replace the current mlx5_interface->event callback and all
the logic around it, especially the delayed events logic introduced by
commit 97834eba7c19 ("net/mlx5: Delay events till ib registration ends")
Which is not needed anymore with this new API where the mlx5 interface
can dynamically register/unregister its notifier.
