2020-03-09ionic: drop ethtool driver versionShannon Nelson
Use the default kernel version in ethtool drv_info output and drop the module version. Cc: Leon Romanovsky <leonro@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Reviewed-by: Leon Romanovsky <leonro@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-03-09ionic: clean up bitflag usageShannon Nelson
Remove the unused flags field and and fix the bitflag names to include the _F_ flag hint. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-03-05ionic: let core reject the unsupported coalescing parametersJakub Kicinski
Set ethtool_ops->supported_coalesce_params to let the core reject unsupported coalescing parameters. This driver correctly rejects all unsupported parameters. As a side effect of these changes the error code for unsupported params changes from EINVAL to EOPNOTSUPP. v3: adjust commit message for new error code and member name Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org> Acked-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. 2019-10-02ionic: implement ethtool set-fecShannon Nelson
Wire up the --set-fec and --show-fec features in the ethtool callbacks and pull the related code out of set_link_ksettings. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-10-02ionic: report users coalesce requestShannon Nelson
The user's request for an interrupt coalescing value gets translated into a hardware value to be used with the NIC, and was getting reported back based on the hw value, which, due to hw tic resolution, could be reported as a different number than what the user originally asked for. This code now tracks both the user request and what was put into the hardware so we can report back to the user what they requested. 2019-10-02ionic: use wait_on_bit_lock() rather than open codeShannon Nelson
Replace the open-coded ionic_wait_for_bit() with the kernel's wait_on_bit_lock(). Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-05ionic: Add coalesce and other featuresShannon Nelson
Interrupt coalescing, tunable copybreak value, and tx timeout. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-05ionic: Add RSS supportShannon Nelson
Add code to manipulate through ethtool the RSS configuration used by the NIC. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-05ionic: Add driver statsShannon Nelson
Add in the detailed statistics for ethtool -S that the driver keeps as it processes packets. Display of the additional debug statistics can be enabled through the ethtool priv-flags feature. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2019-09-05ionic: Add initial ethtool supportShannon Nelson
Add in the basic ethtool callbacks for device information and control. Signed-off-by: Shannon Nelson <snelson@pensando.io> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
