2021-05-13net: mdio: octeon: Fix some double free issuesChristophe JAILLET
'bus->mii_bus' has been allocated with 'devm_mdiobus_alloc_size()' in the probe function. So it must not be freed explicitly or there will be a double free. Remove the incorrect 'mdiobus_free' in the error handling path of the probe function and in remove function. 2021-04-27net: phy: Add support for microchip SMI0 MDIO busAndrew Lunn
SMI0 is a mangled version of MDIO. The main low level difference is the MDIO C22 OP code is always 0, not 0x2 or 0x1 for Read/Write. The read/write information is instead encoded in the PHY address. Extend the bit-bang code to allow the op code to be overridden, but default to normal C22 values. Add an extra compatible to the mdio-gpio driver, and when this compatible is present, set the op codes to 0. A higher level driver, sitting on top of the basic MDIO bus driver can then implement the rest of the microchip SMI0 odderties. There is a error message within devm_ioremap_resource already, so remove the dev_err call to avoid redundant error message. Reported-by: Hulk Robot <hulkci@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Guobin Huang <huangguobin4@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2021-02-15net: phy: rename PHY_IGNORE_INTERRUPT to PHY_MAC_INTERRUPTHeiner Kallweit
Some internal PHY's have their events like link change reported by the MAC interrupt. We have PHY_IGNORE_INTERRUPT to deal with this scenario. I'm not too happy with this name. We don't ignore interrupts, typically there is no interrupt exposed at a PHY level. So let's rename it to PHY_MAC_INTERRUPT. This is in line with phy_mac_interrupt(), which is called from the MAC interrupt handler to handle PHY events. Rejecting non-native endian BTF overlapped with the addition of support for it. The rest were more simple overlapping changes, except the renesas ravb binding update, which had to follow a file move as well as a YAML conversion. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2020-09-23net: mdio-ipq4019: add Clause 45 supportRobert Marko
While up-streaming the IPQ4019 driver it was thought that the controller had no Clause 45 support, but it actually does and its activated by writing a bit to the mode register. So lets add it as newer SoC-s use the same controller and Clause 45 compliant PHY-s. 2020-08-27net: mdio: Move MDIO drivers into a new subdirectoryAndrew Lunn
Move all the MDIO drivers and multiplexers into drivers/net/mdio. The mdio core is however left in the phy directory, due to mutual dependencies between the MDIO core and the PHY core. Take this opportunity to sort the Kconfig based on the menuconfig strings, and move the multiplexers to the end with a separating comment. v2: Fix typo in commit message Acked-by: Florian Fainelli <f.fainelli@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Lunn <andrew@lunn.ch> Signed-off-by: David S.
