2021-03-30net: phy: broadcom: Only advertise EEE for supported modesFlorian Fainelli
We should not be advertising EEE for modes that we do not support, correct that oversight by looking at the PHY device supported linkmodes. 2020-11-05net: phy: broadcom: remove use of ack_interrupt()Ioana Ciornei
In preparation of removing the .ack_interrupt() callback, we must replace its occurrences (aka phy_clear_interrupt), from the 2 places where it is called from (phy_enable_interrupts and phy_disable_interrupts), with equivalent functionality. This means that clearing interrupts now becomes something that the PHY driver is responsible of doing, before enabling interrupts and after clearing them. Make this driver follow the new contract. 2020-11-05net: phy: broadcom: implement generic .handle_interrupt() callbackIoana Ciornei
In an attempt to actually support shared IRQs in phylib, we now move the responsibility of triggering the phylib state machine or just returning IRQ_NONE, based on the IRQ status register, to the PHY driver. Having 3 different IRQ handling callbacks (.handle_interrupt(), .did_interrupt() and .ack_interrupt() ) is confusing so let the PHY driver implement directly an IRQ handler like any other device driver. Make this driver follow the new convention. 2020-06-01net: phy: broadcom: don't export RDB/legacy access methodsMichael Walle
Don't export __bcm_phy_enable_rdb_access() and __bcm_phy_enable_legacy_access() functions. They aren't used outside this module and it was forgotten to provide a prototype for these functions. Just make them static for now. 2020-05-13net: phy: broadcom: add cable test supportMichael Walle
Most modern broadcom PHYs support ECD (enhanced cable diagnostics). Add support for it in the bcm-phy-lib so they can easily be used in the PHY driver. There are two access methods for ECD: legacy by expansion registers and via the new RDB registers which are exclusive. Provide functions in two variants where the PHY driver can choose from. To keep things simple for now, we just switch the register access to expansion registers in the RDB variant for now. On the flipside, we have to keep a bus lock to prevent any other non-legacy access on the PHY. The results of the intra-pair tests are inconclusive (at least for the BCM54140). Most of the times half the length is reported but sometimes the length is correct. 2020-05-13net: phy: broadcom: add exp register access methods without buslockMichael Walle
Add helper to read and write expansion registers without taking the mdio lock. Please note, that this changes the semantics of the read and write. Before there was no lock between selecting the expansion register and the actual read/write. This may lead to access failures if there are parallel accesses. Instead take the bus lock during the whole access cycle. 2019-03-21net: phy: Prepare for moving Omega out of bcm7xxxFlorian Fainelli
The Omega PHY entry was added to bcm7xxx.c out of convenience and this breaks the one driver per product line paradigm that was applied up until now. Since the AFE initialization is shared between Omega and BCM7xxx move the relevant functions to bcm-phy-lib.[ch]. No functional changes introduced. 2018-05-23net: phy: broadcom: Fix auxiliary control register readsFlorian Fainelli
We are currently doing auxiliary control register reads with the shadow register value 0b111 (0x7) which incidentally is also the selector value that should be present in bits [2:0]. Fix this by using the appropriate selector mask which is defined (MII_BCM54XX_AUXCTL_SHDWSEL_MASK). This does not have a functional impact yet because we always access the MII_BCM54XX_AUXCTL_SHDWSEL_MISC (0x7) register in the current code. This might change at some point though. 2018-04-27drivers: net: replace UINT64_MAX with U64_MAXJisheng Zhang
U64_MAX is well defined now while the UINT64_MAX is not, so we fall back to drivers' own definition as below: #ifndef UINT64_MAX #define UINT64_MAX (u64)(~((u64)0)) #endif I believe this is in one phy driver then copied and pasted to other phy drivers. 2018-03-06net: phy: broadcom: Use strlcpy() for ethtool::get_stringsFlorian Fainelli
Our statistics strings are allocated at initialization without being bound to a specific size, yet, we would copy ETH_GSTRING_LEN bytes using memcpy() which would create out of bounds accesses, this was flagged by KASAN. Replace this with strlcpy() to make sure we are bound the source buffer size and we also always NUL-terminate strings.
