2021-12-19mt76: mt7615: improve wmm index allocationFelix Fietkau
Typically all AP interfaces on a PHY will share the same WMM settings, while sta/mesh interfaces will usually inherit the settings from a remote device. In order minimize the likelihood of conflicting WMM settings, make all AP interfaces share one slot, and all non-AP interfaces another one. 2021-12-19mt76: mt7921s: fix the device cannot sleep deeply in suspendSean Wang
According to the MT7921S firmware, the cmd MCU_UNI_CMD_HIF_CTRL have to be last MCU command to execute in suspend handler and all data traffic have to be stopped before the cmd MCU_UNI_CMD_HIF_CTRL starts as well in order that mt7921 can successfully fall into the deep sleep mode. Where we reuse the flag MT76_STATE_SUSPEND and avoid creating another global flag to stop all of the traffic onto the SDIO bus. 2021-12-19mt76: mt7921: move mt76_connac_mcu_set_hif_suspend to bus-related filesSean Wang
This is a preliminary patch for the following patch ("mt76: mt7921s: fix the device cannot sleep deeply in suspend). mt76_connac_mcu_set_hif_suspend eventually would be handled in each bus-level suspend/resume handler in either mt7921/sdio.c or mt7921/pci.c depending on what type of the bus the device is running on. 2021-12-19mt76: do not pass the received frame with decryption errorXing Song
MAC80211 doesn't care any decryption error in 802.3 path, so received frame will be dropped if HW tell us that the cipher configuration is not matched as well as the header has been translated to 802.3. This case only appears when IEEE80211_FCTL_PROTECTED is 0 and cipher suit is not none in the corresponding HW entry. The received frame is only reported to monitor interface if HW decryption block tell us there is ICV error or CCMP/BIP/WPI MIC error. Note in this case the reported frame is decrypted 802.11 frame and the payload may be malformed due to mismatched key. 2021-12-18mt76: testmode: add support to set MACShayne Chen
Add support to set SA/DA/BSSID in testmode. During mass production stage, some test scripts or test equipments need to set fixed addresses to detect or parse if a test is passed. Also, MAC setting is necessary for some tx/rx tests with rx filter, to make sure rx site only receives expected packets. 2021-12-18mt76: mt7921: drop offload_flags overwrittenSean Wang
offload_flags have to be dropped for mt7921 because mt76.omac_idx 0 would always run as station mode that would cause Tx encapsulation setting is not applied to mac80211. 2021-10-23mt76: Print error message when reading EEPROM from mtd failedHauke Mehrtens
When the EEPROM data is stored on a MTD partition print an error message when reading this MTD partition failed. This is currently happening often in OpenWrt because the initial data was written with using a flash driver which ignores the error detection data and now OpenWrt uses a driver which checks it. 2021-10-23mt76: mt7615: mt7622: fix ibss and meshpointNick Hainke
commit 7f4b7920318b ("mt76: mt7615: add ibss support") introduced IBSS and commit f4ec7fdf7f83 ("mt76: mt7615: enable support for mesh") meshpoint support. Both used in the "get_omac_idx"-function: if (~mask & BIT(HW_BSSID_0)) return HW_BSSID_0; With commit d8d59f66d136 ("mt76: mt7615: support 16 interfaces") the ibss and meshpoint mode should "prefer hw bssid slot 1-3". However, with that change the ibss or meshpoint mode will not send any beacon on the mt7622 wifi anymore. Devices were still able to exchange data but only if a bssid already existed. Two mt7622 devices will never be able to communicate. This commits reverts the preferation of slot 1-3 for ibss and meshpoint. Only NL80211_IFTYPE_STATION will still prefer slot 1-3. Tested on Banana Pi R64.
