2017-11-24s390: drivers: Remove redundant license textGreg Kroah-Hartman
Now that the SPDX tag is in all drivers/s390/ files, that identifies the license in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording can be removed as it is no longer needed at all. This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never needed. No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed. 2017-11-24s390: net: add SPDX identifiers to the remaining filesGreg Kroah-Hartman
It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to audit the kernel tree for correct licenses. Update the drivers/s390/net/ files with the correct SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. This patch is concerned with migrating the time variables for the s390 network drivers. The changes handle the y2038 problem where timespec will overflow in the year 2038. timespec was replaced by unsigned long and all time variables get their values from the jiffies global variable. The NETIUCV device driver allows to connect a Linux guest on z/VM to another z/VM guest based on the z/VM communication facility IUCV. Multiple output paths to different guests are possible, as well as multiple input paths from different guests. With this feature, you can configure multiple point-to-point NETIUCV interfaces between your Linux on System z instance and another z/VM guest. This patch updates misc percpu related symbols such that percpu symbols are unique and don't clash with local symbols. This serves two purposes of decreasing the possibility of global percpu symbol collision and allowing dropping per_cpu__ prefix from percpu symbols. * drivers/crypto/padlock-aes.c: s/last_cword/paes_last_cword/ * drivers/lguest/x86/core.c: s/last_cpu/lg_last_cpu/ * drivers/s390/net/netiucv.c: rename the variable used in a macro to avoid clashing with percpu symbol * arch/mn10300/kernel/kprobes.c: replace current_ prefix with cur_ for static variables. Please note that percpu symbol current_kprobe can't be changed as it's used by generic code. Partly based on Rusty Russell's "alloc_percpu: rename percpu vars which cause name clashes" patch. Patch establishes a dummy netiucv device to make sure iucv is notified about suspend/resume even if netiucv is the only loaded iucv-exploting module without any real net_device defined. The PM freeze callback closes all open netiucv connections. Thus the corresponding iucv path is removed. The PM thaw/restore callback re-opens previously closed netiucv connections. In the near future, the driver core is going to not allow direct access to the driver_data pointer in struct device. Instead, the functions dev_get_drvdata() and dev_set_drvdata() should be used. These functions have been around since the beginning, so are backwards compatible with all older kernel versions.
