2022-11-26scsi: snic: Fix possible UAF in snic_tgt_create()Gaosheng Cui
Smatch reports a warning as follows: drivers/scsi/snic/snic_disc.c:307 snic_tgt_create() warn: '&tgt->list' not removed from list If device_add() fails in snic_tgt_create(), tgt will be freed, but tgt->list will not be removed from snic->disc.tgt_list, then list traversal may cause UAF. Remove from snic->disc.tgt_list before free(). 2021-12-22scsi: snic: Don't use GFP_DMA in snic_queue_report_tgt_req()Christoph Hellwig
The driver doesn't express DMA addressing limitation under 32-bits anywhere else, so remove the spurious GFP_DMA allocation. 2016-04-11scsi: disable automatic target scanHannes Reinecke
On larger installations it is useful to disable automatic LUN scanning, and only add the required LUNs via udev rules. This can speed up bootup dramatically. This patch introduces a new scan module parameter value 'manual', which works like 'none', but can be overridden by setting the 'rescan' value from scsi_scan_target to 'SCSI_SCAN_MANUAL'. And it updates all relevant callers to set the 'rescan' value to 'SCSI_SCAN_MANUAL' if invoked via the 'scan' option in sysfs. Signed-off-by: Hannes Reinecke <hare@suse.de> Reviewed-by: Ewan D. 2015-06-19snic: driver for Cisco SCSI HBANarsimhulu Musini
Cisco has developed a new PCI HBA interface called sNIC, which stands for SCSI NIC. This is a new storage feature supported on specialized network adapter. The new PCI function provides a uniform host interface and abstracts backend storage.
