2022-04-21fbdev: omap: avoid using mach/*.h filesArnd Bergmann
All the headers we actually need are now in include/linux/soc, so use those versions instead and allow compile-testing on other architectures. Acked-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com> Acked-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com> Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2022-04-21video: fbdev: omapfb: lcd_ams_delta: fix unused variable warningArnd Bergmann
A recent cleanup patch removed the only reference to a local variable in some configurations. Move the variable into the one block it is still used in, inside of an #ifdef, to avoid this warning. dev_err_probe() When possible use dev_err_probe help to properly deal with the PROBE_DEFER error, the benefit is that DEFER issue will be logged in the devices_deferred debugfs file. Using dev_err_probe() can reduce code size, and the error value gets printed. Signed-off-by: Cai Huoqing <caihuoqing@baidu.com> Signed-off-by: Helge Deller <deller@gmx.de>

2018-10-08video: fbdev: omapfb: lcd_ams_delta: use GPIO lookup tableJanusz Krzysztofik
Now as Amstrad Delta board - the only user of this driver - provides GPIO lookup tables, switch from GPIO numbers to GPIO descriptors and use the table to locate required GPIO pins. Declare static variables for storing GPIO descriptors and replace gpio_ function calls with their gpiod_ equivalents. Move GPIO lookup to the driver probe function so device initialization can be deferred instead of aborted if a GPIO pin is not yet available. Pin naming used by the driver should be followed while respective GPIO lookup table is initialized by a board init code. 2018-06-08video/omap: add module license tagsArnd Bergmann
I got a bunch of warnings in a randconfig build: WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_LICENSE() in drivers/video/fbdev/omap/lcd_ams_delta.o WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_LICENSE() in drivers/video/fbdev/omap/lcd_inn1510.o WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_LICENSE() in drivers/video/fbdev/omap/lcd_palmte.o WARNING: modpost: missing MODULE_LICENSE() in drivers/video/fbdev/omap/lcd_palmtt.o These come from an earlier patch of mine that turned all display drivers into separate modules. The fix is to add a MODULE_LICENSE tag. Since I'm doing that, adding a description and author field also makes sense. I went by the authors listed in the comment at the top of each file, but removed Imre's Nokia email address that I assume is not valid any more, since Imre is working at Intel these days. 2017-01-30fbdev: omap/lcd: Make callbacks optionalLars-Peter Clausen
Most OMAP FB LCD drivers don't have anything to do in their panel callbacks. This leads to a large set of empty boilerplate functions in the panel drivers. Make those callbacks optional by checking if they are set before calling them. This allows those boilerplate functions to be removed. 2017-01-30fbdev: omap/lcd: Remove no-op driver callbacksLars-Peter Clausen
Every single one of the OMAP fbdev LCD drivers implements no-op remove, suspend and resume callbacks for their platform_driver. This is not necessary as the driver core handles the case where the callbacks are not set just fine. So they are just unnecessary boilerplate that can be removed. 2014-04-17video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen
The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch.
