2022-04-14net: dsa: qca8k: move qca8k_setup()Russell King (Oracle)
Move qca8k_setup() to be later in the file to avoid needing prototypes for called functions. Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: sparx5: remove phylink_config.pcs_poll usageRussell King (Oracle)
Phylink will use PCS polling whenever the PCS's poll member is set, so setting phylink_config.pcs_poll as well is redundant. Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: phylink: remove phylink_set_10g_modes()Russell King (Oracle)
phylink_set_10g_modes() is no longer used with the conversion of drivers to phylink_generic_validate(), so we can remove it. Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: dsa: realtek: convert to phylink_generic_validate()Russell King (Oracle)
Populate the supported interfaces and MAC capabilities for the Realtek rtl8365 DSA switch and remove the old validate implementation to allow DSA to use phylink_generic_validate() for this switch driver. Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: improve 88e6352 serdes statistics detectionRussell King (Oracle)
The decision whether to report serdes statistics currently depends on the cached C_Mode value for the port, read at probe time or updated by configuration. However, port 4 can be in "automedia" mode when it is used as a serdes port, meaning it switches between the internal PHY and the serdes, changing the read-only C_Mode value depending on which first gains link. Consequently, the C_Mode value read at probe does not accurately reflect whether the port has the serdes associated with it. In "net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: add mv88e6352_g2_scratch_port_has_serdes()", we added a way to read the hardware configuration to determine which port has the serdes associated with it. Use this to determine which port reports the serdes statistics. Reviewed-by: Marek Behún <kabel@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: convert to phylink_generic_validate()Russell King (Oracle)
Now that the mv88e6xxx chip drivers are supplying the supported interfaces and MAC capabilities, switch the driver to use the generic phylink validation implementation by removing our own validation implementations. This causes DSA to call phylink_generic_validate() on our behalf. Reviewed-by: Marek Behún <kabel@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: populate supported_interfaces and mac_capabilitiesRussell King (Oracle)
Populate the supported interfaces and MAC capabilities for the Marvell MV88E6xxx DSA switches in preparation to using these for the validation functionality. Patch co-authored by Marek. 2022-04-02net: dsa: mv88e6xxx: add mv88e6352_g2_scratch_port_has_serdes()Russell King (Oracle)
Read the hardware configuration to determine which port is attached to the serdes. Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: dsa: xrs700x: convert to phylink_generic_validate()Russell King (Oracle)
Populate the supported interfaces and MAC capabilities for the xrs700x family of DSA switches and remove the old validate implementation to allow DSA to use phylink_generic_validate() for this switch driver. According to commit ee00b24f32eb ("net: dsa: add Arrow SpeedChips XRS700x driver") the switch supports one RMII port and up to three RGMII ports. This commit assumes that port 0 is the RMII port and the remainder are RGMII. This commit also results in the Autoneg bit being set in the ethtool link modes, which wasn't in the original; if this switch supports RGMII to a 10/100/1G PHY, then surely we want to allow Autoneg on the PHY. Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: dsa: qca8k: convert to phylink_generic_validate()Russell King (Oracle)
Populate the supported interfaces and MAC capabilities for the QCA8K DSA switch and remove the old validate implementation to allow DSA to use phylink_generic_validate() for this switch driver. In making this change, we bring consistency to the ethtool linkmodes that phylink's validate step produces, thereby following the expected behaviour as the phylink documentation has explained. Specifically, the ethtool 1000baseX_Full capability is now permitted for all interface modes, as it is a property of the PHY driver whether 1000baseX fiber connections can be supported. 2022-04-02net: dsa: ksz8795: convert to phylink_generic_validate()Russell King (Oracle)
Populate the supported interfaces and MAC capabilities for the Microchip KSZ8795 DSA switch and remove the old validate implementation to allow DSA to use phylink_generic_validate() for this switch driver. Signed-off-by: Russell King (Oracle) <rmk+kernel@armlinux.org.uk>
2022-04-02net: dsa: bcm_sf2: convert to phylink_generic_validate()Russell King (Oracle)
Populate the supported interfaces and MAC capabilities for the bcm_sf2 DSA switch and remove the old validate implementation to allow DSA to use phylink_generic_validate() for this switch driver. The exclusion of Gigabit linkmodes for MII and Reverse MII links is handled within phylink_generic_validate() in phylink, so there is no need to make them conditional on the interface mode in the driver. Thanks to Florian Fainelli for suggesting how to populate the supported interfaces. 2022-04-02net: stmmac/xpcs: convert to pcs_validate()Russell King (Oracle)

2022-04-02net: stmmac: fill in supported_interfacesRussell King (Oracle)
Fill in phylink's supported_interfaces bitmap with the PHY interface modes which can be used to talk to the PHY. We indicate that the PHY interface mode passed in platform data is always supported, as this is the initial mode passed into phylink. When there is no PCS specified, we assume that this is the only mode that is supported - indeed, the driver appears not to support dynamic switching of interface types at present. When a xpcs is present, it defines the PHY interface modes that the stmmac driver can support. Request the supported interfaces from the xpcs driver, and pass them to phylink. 2022-04-02net: xpcs: add support for retrieving supported interface modesRussell King (Oracle)
Add a function to the xpcs driver to retrieve the supported PHY interface modes, which can be used by drivers to fill in phylink's supported_interfaces mask. We validate the interface bit index to ensure that it fits within the bitmap as xpcs lists PHY_INTERFACE_MODE_MAX in an entry. 2022-03-17iavf: Fix hang during reboot/shutdownIvan Vecera
Recent commit 974578017fc1 ("iavf: Add waiting so the port is initialized in remove") adds a wait-loop at the beginning of iavf_remove() to ensure that port initialization is finished prior unregistering net device. This causes a regression in reboot/shutdown scenario because in this case callback iavf_shutdown() is called and this callback detaches the device, makes it down if it is running and sets its state to __IAVF_REMOVE. Later shutdown callback of associated PF driver (e.g. ice_shutdown) is called. That callback calls among other things sriov_disable() that calls indirectly iavf_remove() (see stack trace below). As the adapter state is already __IAVF_REMOVE then the mentioned loop is end-less and shutdown process hangs. The patch fixes this by checking adapter's state at the beginning of iavf_remove() and skips the rest of the function if the adapter is already in remove state (shutdown is in progress). Reproducer: 1. Create VF on PF driven by ice or i40e driver 2. Ensure that the VF is bound to iavf driver 3. 2022-03-17net: mscc: ocelot: fix backwards compatibility with single-chain tc-flower ↵Vladimir Oltean
offload ACL rules can be offloaded to VCAP IS2 either through chain 0, or, since the blamed commit, through a chain index whose number encodes a specific PAG (Policy Action Group) and lookup number. The chain number is translated through ocelot_chain_to_pag() into a PAG, and through ocelot_chain_to_lookup() into a lookup number. The problem with the blamed commit is that the above 2 functions don't have special treatment for chain 0. So ocelot_chain_to_pag(0) returns filter->pag = 224, which is in fact -32, but the "pag" field is an u8. So we end up programming the hardware with VCAP IS2 entries having a PAG of 224. But the way in which the PAG works is that it defines a subset of VCAP IS2 filters which should match on a packet. The default PAG is 0, and previous VCAP IS1 rules (which we offload using 'goto') can modify it. So basically, we are installing filters with a PAG on which no packet will ever match. This is the hardware equivalent of adding filters to a chain which has no 'goto' to it. Restore the previous functionality by making ACL filters offloaded to chain 0 go to PAG 0 and lookup number 0. The choice of PAG is clearly correct, but the choice of lookup number isn't "as before" (which was to leave the lookup a "don't care"). However, lookup 0 should be fine, since even though there are ACL actions (policers) which have a requirement to be used in a specific lookup, that lookup is 0. Making DRM_PANEL_EDP select DRM_KMS_HELPER resolves this problem. To avoid a resulting cyclic dependency with DRM_PANEL_BRIDGE, don't make the latter depend on DRM_KMS_HELPER and fix the one DRM bridge drivers that doesn't already select DRM_KMS_HELPER. As KMS helpers cannot be selected directly by the user, config symbols should avoid depending on it anyway. 2022-03-16drm/panel: simple: Fix Innolux G070Y2-L01 BPP settingsMarek Vasut
The Innolux G070Y2-L01 supports two modes of operation: 1) FRC=Low/NC ... MEDIA_BUS_FMT_RGB666_1X7X3_SPWG ... BPP=6 2) FRC=High ..... MEDIA_BUS_FMT_RGB888_1X7X4_SPWG ... BPP=8 Currently the panel description mixes both, BPP from 1) and bus format from 2), which triggers a warning at panel-simple.c:615. Pick the later, set bpp=8, fix the warning. 2022-03-16drm/imx: parallel-display: Remove bus flags check in ↵Christoph Niedermaier
imx_pd_bridge_atomic_check() If display timings were read from the devicetree using of_get_display_timing() and pixelclk-active is defined there, the flag DISPLAY_FLAGS_SYNC_POSEDGE/NEGEDGE is automatically generated. Through the function drm_bus_flags_from_videomode() e.g. called in the panel-simple driver this flag got into the bus flags, but then in imx_pd_bridge_atomic_check() the bus flag check failed and will not initialize the display. The original commit fe141cedc433 does not explain why this check was introduced. So remove the bus flags check, because it stops the initialization of the display with valid bus flags. 2022-03-16Revert "ath10k: drop beacon and probe response which leak from other channel"Kalle Valo
This reverts commit 3bf2537ec2e33310b431b53fd84be8833736c256. I was reported privately that this commit breaks AP and mesh mode on QCA9984 (firmware 10.4-3.9.0.2-00156). So revert the commit to fix the regression. There was a conflict due to cfg80211 API changes but that was easy to fix.
