2023-10-09ASoC: Explicitly include correct DT includesRob Herring
The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate of_platform_bus_type before it was merged into the regular platform bus. As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they "temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to explicitly include the correct includes. 2023-03-20ASoC: sh: fsi: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König
The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. It is preferred to use typed property access functions (i.e. of_property_read_<type> functions) rather than low-level of_get_property/of_find_property functions for reading properties. As part of this, convert of_get_property/of_find_property calls to the recently added of_property_present() helper when we just want to test for presence of a property and nothing more. Since the removal of the r8a7740 legacy board code in commit 1fa59bda21c7fa36 ("ARM: shmobile: Remove legacy board code for Armadillo-800 EVA"), all former users of the "sh_fsi2" platform device name are only supported in generic DT-only ARM multi-platform builds. The driver doesn't need to match platform devices by name anymore, hence remove the corresponding platform_device_id entry. dmaengine_prep_slave_single() expects a enum dma_transfer_direction and not a enum dma_data_direction. Since the integer representations of both DMA_TO_DEVICE and DMA_MEM_TO_DEV aswell as DMA_FROM_DEVICE and DMA_DEV_TO_MEM have the same value the code worked fine even though it was using the wrong type. Current FSI driver is using DMAEngine directly, but, ASoC is requesting to use common DMA transfer method, like snd_dmaengine_pcm_trigger() or dmaengine_pcm_ops. It is difficult to switch at this point, since Renesas driver is also supporting PIO transfer. This patch uses dmaengine_prep_dma_cyclic() instead of dmaengine_prep_slave_single().
