From 9969441f9f86a8a7de8c36514fa789e5f5d83145 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Dave Chinner Date: Thu, 4 Jun 2015 09:19:10 +1000 Subject: xfs: add DAX truncate support When we truncate a DAX file, we need to call through the DAX page truncation path rather than through block_truncate_page() so that mappings and block zeroing are all handled correctly. Otherwise, truncate does not need to change. Both of them are a direct product of the transaction state, and can be deducted: - any dirty transaction needs XFS_TRANS_ABORT to be properly canceled, and XFS_TRANS_ABORT is a noop for a transaction that is not dirty. - any transaction with a permanent log reservation needs XFS_TRANS_RELEASE_LOG_RES to be properly canceled, and passing XFS_TRANS_RELEASE_LOG_RES for a transaction without a permanent log reservation is invalid. So just remove the flags argument and do the right thing.
