2025-04-22ARM: dts: nxp: Align NAND controller node name with bindingsKrzysztof Kozlowski
Bindings expect NAND controller device nodes to be named "nand-controller". Cc: Fabio Estevam <festevam@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Daniel Baluta <daniel.baluta@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2025-04-22ARM: dts: imx: Fix the iim compatible stringFabio Estevam
Per imx-iim.yaml, the compatible string should only contain a single entry. Change it accordingly to fix the following dt-schema warnings: efuse@83f98000: compatible: ['fsl,imx51-iim', 'fsl,imx27-iim', 'syscon'] is too long Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <festevam@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2025-02-18ARM: dts: imx5: Fix the CCM interrupts descriptionFabio Estevam
On the i.MX5 chips the peripheral interrupts are represented directly only by their interrupt numbers. The CCM nodes are not following this format and cause the following dt-schema warnings: ccm@73fd4000: interrupts: [[0], [71], [4], [0], [72], [4]] is too long Fix it by passing only the two interrupt numbers. Run-time tested in on an imx53-qsb board. Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <festevam@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2024-11-01ARM: dts: imx51: Align pin config nodes with bindingsMarek Vasut
Bindings expect pin configuration nodes in pinctrl to match certain naming and not be part of another fake node: pinctrl@30330000: '...' does not match any of the regexes: 'grp$', 'pinctrl-[0-9]+' Drop the wrapping node and adjust the names to have "grp" prefix. Diff looks big but this should have no functional impact, use e.g. git show -w to view the diff. Signed-off-by: Marek Vasut <marex@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2024-02-26ARM: dts: nxp: imx: fix weim node nameSebastian Reichel
DT node names should be generic, so replace "weim" node name with "memory-controller" in all i.MX SoC DT files. Reviewed-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Sebastian Reichel <sre@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>
2023-10-09ARM: dts: imx51: Remove invalid sahara compatibleFabio Estevam
Per fsl-imx-sahara.yaml, there should not be a 'fsl,imx51-sahara' compatible. Remove it to fix the following schema warning: imx51-apf51.dtb: crypto@83ff8000: compatible: ['fsl,imx53-sahara', 'fsl,imx51-sahara'] is too long from schema $id: http://devicetree.org/schemas/crypto/fsl-imx-sahara.yaml# Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <festevam@denx.de> Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org>

2023-06-21ARM: dts: Move .dts files to vendor sub-directoriesRob Herring
The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups.
