2024-12-23wifi: rtw88: add __packed attribute to efuse layout structPing-Ke Shih
The layout struct of efuse should not do address alignment by compiler. Otherwise it leads unexpected layout and size for certain arch suc as arm. In x86-64, the results are identical before and after this patch. Also adjust bit-field to prevent over adjacent byte to avoid warning: rtw88/rtw8822b.h:66:1: note: offset of packed bit-field `res2` has changed in GCC 4.4 66 | } __packed; | ^ Reported-by: kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com> Closes: https://lore.kernel.org/oe-kbuild-all/202412120131.qk0x6OhE-lkp@intel.com/ Signed-off-by: Ping-Ke Shih <pkshih@realtek.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20241212054203.135046-1-pkshih@realtek.com
2024-10-29wifi: rtw88: Add some definitions for RTL8821AU/RTL8812AUBitterblue Smith
Add 8821A and 8812A chip type enums. Add cck_high_power member to struct rtw_hal. This will be used to calculate the RX signal strength of RTL8812AU. Add various register definitions which will be used by the new drivers. Move some existing register definitions from rtw8821c.h and rtw8822b.h. They were duplicated in those headers and will also be used by the new drivers. 2023-10-09wifi: rtw88: 8821c: tweak CCK TX filter setting for SRRC regulationZong-Zhe Yang
Since new criterion released by SRRC (State Radio Regulatory Commission, China) is stricter, we have adjusted TX power limit tables for it. But, due to RTL8821C HW characteristic, we still need to use specific parameter in CCK TX filter when set channel to avoid violations in some corner cases. 2023-02-22wifi: rtw88: rtw8821c: Implement RTL8821CS (SDIO) efuse parsingMartin Blumenstingl
The efuse of the SDIO RTL8821CS chip has only one known member: the mac address is at offset 0x11a. Add a struct rtw8821cs_efuse describing this and use it for copying the mac address when the SDIO bus is used. 2022-05-30wifi: rtw88: Fix Sparse warning for rtw8821c_hw_specLarry Finger
Sparse lists the following: CHECK drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtw88/rtw8821c.c drivers/net/wireless/realtek/rtw88/rtw8821c.c:1880:22: warning: symbol 'rtw8821c_hw_spec' was not declared. Should it be static? The warning arises because the external declaration for rtw8821c_hw_spec occurs in rtw8821ce.h, which is not included in rtw8821c.h. 2020-11-10rtw88: coex: fixed some wrong register definition and settingChing-Te Ku
Some register definition and bit definition were incorrect. e.g. REG_BT_COEX_V2 should be word alignment to meet the coding style. e.g. set REG_BT_TDMA_TIME[5:0]=0x5, But the original is to set REG_BT_TDMA_TIME[7:0]=0x5. This will cause unexpected hardware behavior. 2020-08-02rtw88: 8821c: coex: add functions and parametersPing-Cheng Chen
Without this patch, RTL8821CE will not have coex support, and will crash the system because of the NULL pointers for the coex functions. While RTL8822C series are WiFi + BT combo chips, it needs the co-existence mechanism for the device to work on both WiFi and BT without interfering each other. And the coex support has already been added before, most of the mechanisms are implemented. The driver should just add corresponding functions to operate on different types of chips and its coex parameters. 2020-07-15rtw88: 8821c: add power trackingTzu-En Huang
The TX power requires to be adjusted based on the thermal value. The actual power will decrease if the thermal value raised, and will increase if the thermal value lowered. Driver comapres the thermal value, as moving averages. If it changes over a limit, driver will modify the TX power index to compensate. Implement rtw_chip_ops::pwr_track() for 8821c.
