2025-04-05tracing/timers: Rename the hrtimer_init event to hrtimer_setupNam Cao
The function hrtimer_init() doesn't exist anymore. It was replaced by hrtimer_setup(). Thus, rename the hrtimer_init trace event to hrtimer_setup to keep it consistent. 2025-03-05perf test: Skip perf trace tests when running as non-rootNamhyung Kim
perf trace requires root because it needs to use tracepoints and BPF. Skip those test when it's not run as root. 2025-01-28perf test: Skip syscall enum test if no landlock syscallNamhyung Kim
The perf trace enum augmentation test specifically targets landlock_ add_rule syscall but IIUC it's an optional and can be opt-out by a kernel config. Currently trace_landlock() runs `perf test -w landlock` before the actual testing to check the availability but it's not enough since the workload always returns 0. Instead it could check if perf trace output has 'landlock' string. 2024-08-28perf test trace_btf_enum: Fix shellcheck warningJames Clark
Shellcheck versions < v0.7.2 can't follow this path so add the helper to fix the following warning: In tests/shell/trace_btf_enum.sh line 13: . "$(dirname $0)"/lib/probe.sh ^--------------------------^ SC1090: Can't follow non-constant source. Use a directive to specify location. enums in 'perf trace' Trace landlock_add_rule syscall to see if the output is desirable. Trace the non-syscall tracepoint 'timer:hrtimer_init' and 'timer:hrtimer_start', see if the 'mode' argument is augmented, the 'mode' enum argument has the prefix of 'HRTIMER_MODE_' in its name.
