2025-04-07memblock tests: Fix mutex related build errorMasami Hiramatsu (Google)
Fix mutex and free_reserved_area() related build errors which have been introduced by commit 74e2498ccf7b ("mm/memblock: Add reserved memory release function"). Fixes: 74e2498ccf7b ("mm/memblock: Add reserved memory release function") Reported-by: Wei Yang <richard.weiyang@gmail.com> Closes: https://lore.kernel.org/all/20250405023018.g2ae52nrz2757b3n@master/ Signed-off-by: Masami Hiramatsu (Google) <mhiramat@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/174399023133.47537.7375975856054461445.stgit@devnote2 Signed-off-by: Mike Rapoport (Microsoft) <rppt@kernel.org>
2024-08-06memblock test: fix implicit declaration of function 'isspace'Wei Yang
Commit 1e4c64b71c9b ("mm/memblock: Add "reserve_mem" to reserved named memory at boot up") introduce usage of isspace(). Let's include <linux/ctype.h> in kernel.h to fix this. 2024-08-06memblock test: fix implicit declaration of function 'memparse'Wei Yang
Commit 1e4c64b71c9b ("mm/memblock: Add "reserve_mem" to reserved named memory at boot up") introduce the usage of memparse(), which is not defined in memblock test. Add the definition and link it to fix the build. 2024-08-06tools/testing: abstract two init.h into common include directoryWei Yang
Currently we have two test suits define its own init.h. This is a little redundant. Let's create a init.h in common include directory and merge these two into it. 2024-08-06memblock tests: include export.h in linkage.h as kernel doseWei Yang
In kernel code, linkage.h includes export.h. Let's sync with kernel. This is a preparation for move init.h in common include directory. 2024-08-06memblock tests: include memory_hotplug.h in mmzone.h as kernel doseWei Yang
In kernel code, memory_hotplug.h is included in mmzone.h instead of in init.h. Let's sync with kernel. This is a preparation for move init.h in common include directory. 2024-01-08mm, treewide: rename MAX_ORDER to MAX_PAGE_ORDERKirill A. Shutemov
commit 23baf831a32c ("mm, treewide: redefine MAX_ORDER sanely") has changed the definition of MAX_ORDER to be inclusive. This has caused issues with code that was not yet upstream and depended on the previous definition. To draw attention to the altered meaning of the define, rename MAX_ORDER to MAX_PAGE_ORDER. 2023-04-05mm, treewide: redefine MAX_ORDER sanelyKirill A. Shutemov
MAX_ORDER currently defined as number of orders page allocator supports: user can ask buddy allocator for page order between 0 and MAX_ORDER-1. This definition is counter-intuitive and lead to number of bugs all over the kernel. Change the definition of MAX_ORDER to be inclusive: the range of orders user can ask from buddy allocator is 0..MAX_ORDER now. 2022-06-16mm: kmemleak: remove kmemleak_not_leak_phys() and the min_count argument to ↵Patrick Wang
kmemleak_alloc_phys() Patch series "mm: kmemleak: store objects allocated with physical address separately and check when scan", v4. The kmemleak_*_phys() interface uses "min_low_pfn" and "max_low_pfn" to check address. But on some architectures, kmemleak_*_phys() is called before those two variables initialized. The following steps will be taken: 1) Add OBJECT_PHYS flag and rbtree for the objects allocated with physical address 2) Store physical address in objects if allocated with OBJECT_PHYS 3) Check the boundary when scan instead of in kmemleak_*_phys() This patch set will solve: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220527032504.30341-1-yee.lee@mediatek.com https://lore.kernel.org/r/9dd08bb5-f39e-53d8-f88d-bec598a08c93@gmail.com v3: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220609124950.1694394-1-patrick.wang.shcn@gmail.com v2: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220603035415.1243913-1-patrick.wang.shcn@gmail.com v1: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20220531150823.1004101-1-patrick.wang.shcn@gmail.com This patch (of 4): Remove the unused kmemleak_not_leak_phys() function.
