2025-04-04selftests: net: amt: indicate progress in the stress testJakub Kicinski
Our CI expects output from the test at least once every 10 minutes. The AMT test when running on debug kernel is just on the edge of that time for the stress test. Improve the output: - print the name of the test first, before starting it, - output a dot every 10% of the way. Output after: TEST: amt discovery [ OK ] TEST: IPv4 amt multicast forwarding [ OK ] TEST: IPv6 amt multicast forwarding [ OK ] TEST: IPv4 amt traffic forwarding torture .......... [ OK ] TEST: IPv6 amt traffic forwarding torture .......... [ OK ] Reviewed-by: Taehee Yoo <ap420073@gmail.com> Link: https://patch.msgid.link/20250403145636.2891166-1-kuba@kernel.org Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org>
2024-06-21selftests: net: change shebang to bash in amt.shTaehee Yoo
amt.sh is written in bash, not sh. So, shebang should be bash. Signed-off-by: Taehee Yoo <ap420073@gmail.com> Acked-by: Muhammad Usama Anjum <usama.anjum@collabora.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2024-05-20selftests: net: kill smcrouted in the cleanup logic in amt.shTaehee Yoo
The amt.sh requires smcrouted for multicasting routing. So, it starts smcrouted before forwarding tests. It must be stopped after all tests, but it isn't. To fix this issue, it kills smcrouted in the cleanup logic. 2024-05-10selftests: net: move amt to socat for better compatibilityJakub Kicinski
The test seems to expect that nc will exit after the first received message. This is not the case with Ncat 7.94. There are multiple versions of nc out there, switch to socat for better compatibility. Tell socat to exit after 128 bytes and pad the message. Since the test sets -e make sure we don't set exit code (|| true) and print the pass / fail rather then silently moving over the test and just setting non-zero exit code with no output indicating what failed. 2022-01-05selftests: set amt.sh executableTaehee Yoo
amt.sh test script will not work because it doesn't have execution permission. So, it adds execution permission.
