2012-10-03drm/nouveau/therm: move thermal-related functions to the therm subdevMartin Peres
It looks scary because of the size, but I tried to keep the differences minimal. Further patches will fix the actual "driver" code and add new features. v2: change filenames, split to submodules v3: add a missing include v4: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com> - fixed set_defaults() to allow min_duty < 30 (thermal table will override this if it's actually necessary) - fixed set_defaults() to not provide pwm_freq so nv4x (which only has pwm_div) can actually work. the boards using pwm_freq will have a thermal table entry to provide us the value. - removed unused files Signed-off-by: Martin Peres <martin.peres@labri.fr> Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2012-10-03drm/nouveau/therm: use the EXTDEV table to detect i2c monitoring devicesMartin Peres
This commit also adds a static list of all known devices and their possible i2c addresses. v2: use the common table parsing technique as suggested by darktama Signed-off-by: Martin Peres <martin.peres@labri.fr> Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2012-10-03drm/nouveau/therm: rework thermal table parsingMartin Peres
As an accident, it should also fix temperature reading on nv4x. v2: introduce nvbios_therm_entry as advised by darktama Signed-off-by: Martin Peres <martin.peres@labri.fr> Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2012-10-03drm/nouveau: port remainder of drm code, and rip out compat layerBen Skeggs
v2: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com> - fill in nouveau_pm.dev to prevent oops - fix ppc issues (build + OF shadow) Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2012-10-03drm/nouveau/i2c: port to subdev interfacesBen Skeggs
v2/v3: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com> - fix typo in default bus selection - fix accidental loss of destructor v4: Dmitry Eremin-Solenikov <dmitry_eremin@mentor.com> - fix typo causing incorrect default i2c port settings when no BMP data Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2011-12-21drm/nouveau/i2c: do parsing of i2c-related vbios info in nouveau_i2c.cBen Skeggs
Not much point parsing the vbios data into a struct which is only used once to parse the data into another struct, go directly from vbios to nouveau_i2c_chan. Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2011-12-21drm/nouveau/bios: pass drm_device to ROMPTR, rather than nvbiosBen Skeggs
Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
2011-12-21drm/nv50/pm: mostly nailed down fan pwm frequency selectionBen Skeggs

2011-12-21drm/nouveau/pm: manual pwm fanspeed management for nv40+ boardsMartin Peres
Exposes the following sysfs entries: - fan0_input: read the rotational speed of the fan (poll a bit during 250ms) - pwm0: set the pwm duty cycle - pwm0_min/max: set the minimum/maximum pwm value v2 (Ben Skeggs): - nv50 pwm controller code removed in favour of other more complete code - FAN_RPM -> FAN_SENSE - merged FAN_SENSE readout into common code, not at all nv50-specific - protected fanspeed changes with perflvl_wr - formatting tidying - added some comments where things are shaky v3 (Martin Peres) - ensure duty min/max from thermal table are sane Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Peres <martin.peres@ensi-bourges.fr>
2011-10-31gpu: add module.h to drivers/gpu files as required.Paul Gortmaker
So that we don't get build failures once the implicit module.h presence is removed. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2011-06-23drm/nouveau/temp: Add default calibration values for nv67Emil Velikov

2011-06-23drm/nouveau/temp: Fix signed/unsigned int logicEmil Velikov
Many (all?) of the coefficients related to calculating the correct temperature are signed integers This patch correcly parses and stores those values It also ensures that the default offset is 0 (previously 1) Affected cards - the original nv50 and the nv40 family Signed-off-by: Emil Velikov <emil.l.velikov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>

2011-01-25drm/nouveau: probe for adt7473 before f75375Ben Skeggs
There's a reported case where probing for f75375 causes the system to hang completely, in this case there's an adt7473 at the same i2c address. Signed-off-by: Ben Skeggs <bskeggs@redhat.com>
