2023-01-26habanalabs: move driver to accel subsystemOded Gabbay
Now that we have a subsystem for compute accelerators, move the habanalabs driver to it. This patch only moves the files and fixes the Makefiles. Future patches will change the existing code to register to the accel subsystem and expose the accel device char files instead of the habanalabs device char files. Update the MAINTAINERS file to reflect this change. Signed-off-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org>
2022-09-20habanalabs: eliminate aggregate use warningOded Gabbay
When doing sizeof() and giving as argument a dereference of a pointer-to-a-pointer object, clang will issue a warning. Eliminate the warning by passing struct <name>* Signed-off-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org>
2022-09-18habanalabs: unify hwmon resources clean upDani Liberman
Since hwmon fini code is common for all asics, unified it to common function. Signed-off-by: Dani Liberman <dliberman@habana.ai> Reviewed-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org>
2021-12-26habanalabs: fix hwmon handling for legacy f/wOded Gabbay
In legacy f/w that use old hwmon.h file, the values of the hwmon enums are different than the values that are in newer kernels (5.6 and above). Therefore, to support working with those f/w, we need to do some fixup before registering with the hwmon subsystem and also when calling the functions that communicate with the f/w to retrieve sensors information. 2021-12-26habanalabs: add dedicated message towards f/w to set powerRajaravi Krishna Katta
CPUCP_PACKET_POWER_GET packet type was used for both hl_get_power() and hl_set_power(). To align with other sensor functions hl_set_power() should use CPUCP_PACKET_POWER_SET. This packet will only be used with newer ASICs, so need to add a compatibility flag to the asic properties to indicate whether to use this packet or the GET packet. 2021-10-18habanalabs: enable power info via HWMON frameworkRajaravi Krishna Katta
Add support to retrieve following power info via HWMON: - instantaneous power value - highest value since last reset - reset the highest place holder Signed-off-by: Rajaravi Krishna Katta <rkatta@habana.ai> Reviewed-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org>
2021-10-18habanalabs: create static map of f/w hwmon enumsRajaravi Krishna Katta
Instead of using the Linux kernel HWMON enums definition when communicating with the firmware, use proprietary HWMON based enums i.e. map hwmon.h header enum to cpucp_if.h based enum while. This is needed because the HWMON enums are not forcing backward compatibility and therefore changes can break compatibility between newer driver and older firmware. The driver will check for CPU_BOOT_DEV_STS0_MAP_HWMON_EN bit to validate if f/w supports cpucp->hwmon enum mapping to support older firmware where this mapping won't be available. 2020-11-30habanalabs: firmware returns 64bit argumentAlon Mizrahi
F/W message returns 64bit value but up until now we casted it to a 32bit variable, instead of receiving 64bit in the first place. Signed-off-by: Alon Mizrahi <amizrahi@habana.ai> Reviewed-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org>
2020-11-30habanalabs: add 'needs reset' state in driverOfir Bitton
The new state indicates that device should be reset in order to re-gain funcionality. This unique state can occur if reset_on_lockup is disabled and an actual lockup has occurred. 2020-11-30habanalabs: we need CPU queues for hwmonOded Gabbay
F/W can be loaded but device CPU queues disabled. In that case, HWMON should be disabled. This is only relevant when debugging Signed-off-by: Oded Gabbay <ogabbay@kernel.org>
2020-09-22habanalabs: replace armcp with the generic cpucpOded Gabbay
ArmCP mandates that the device CPU is always an ARM processor, which might be wrong in the future. Most of this change is an internal renaming of variables, functions and defines but there are two entries in sysfs which have armcp in their names. Add identical cpucp entries but don't remove yet the armcp entries. Those will be deprecated next year. Add the documentation about it in sysfs documentation. 2020-07-24habanalabs: create common folderOded Gabbay
