2018-02-16mtd: nand: move raw NAND related code to the raw/ subdirBoris Brezillon
As part of the process of sharing more code between different NAND based devices, we need to move all raw NAND related code to the raw/ subdirectory. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@bootlin.com>
2016-01-07mtd: nand: make use of nand_set/get_controller_data() helpersBoris BREZILLON
New helpers have been added to avoid directly accessing chip->field. Use them where appropriate. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> [Brian: fixed a few rebase conflicts] Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-12-18mtd: nand: remove useless mtd->priv = chip assignmentsBoris BREZILLON
mtd_to_nand() now uses the container_of() approach to transform an mtd_info pointer into a nand_chip one. Drop useless mtd->priv assignments from NAND controller drivers. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-12-18mtd: nand: bcm47xx: use the mtd instance embedded in struct nand_chipBoris BREZILLON
struct nand_chip now embeds an mtd device. Make use of this mtd instance. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2015-12-14mtd: bcm47xxnflash: really unregister NAND on device removalBrian Norris
The field bcma_nflash::mtd is never set to be non-zero anywhere, but we test for it in the removal path. So the MTD is never unregistered. Also, we should use nand_release(), not mtd_device_unregister(). Finally, we don't need to use the 'platdata' for stashing/retrieving our *driver* data -- that's what *_{get,set}_drvdata() are for. So, kill off bcm_nflash::mtd, and stash the struct bcm47xxnflash in drvdata instead. Also move the forward declaration of mtd_info up a bit, since struct bcma_sflash should be using it. Caught while inspecting other changes being made to this driver. Compile tested only. 2015-10-13mtd: nand: bcm47xxnflash: show parent device in sysfsFrans Klaver
Fix a bug where parent device symlinks aren't shown in sysfs. While at it, make use of the default owner value set by mtdcore. Signed-off-by: Frans Klaver <fransklaver@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2014-10-20mtd: nand: bcm47xxnflash: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-11-06mtd: bcm47xxnflash: Use devm_kzallocSachin Kamat
devm_kzalloc is device managed and simplifies the code. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2013-11-06mtd: bcm47xxnflash: Use module_platform_driverSachin Kamat
module_platform_driver simplifies the code by removing boiler plate. Signed-off-by: Sachin Kamat <sachin.kamat@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>

2013-02-04mtd: bcm47xxnflash: register this as normal driverHauke Mehrtens
When platform_driver_probe() is used and no device is registered for this driver -ENODEV is returned and and error message is shown. Not all BCM47xx SoC have a nand flash chip controller and chip and for them an error message was shown. 2013-02-04mtd: bcm47xxnflash: fix messageHauke Mehrtens
This is not a serial flash driver, but a nand flash driver Signed-off-by: Hauke Mehrtens <hauke@hauke-m.de> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com>
2013-01-03Drivers: mtd: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2012-11-22mtd: prepare place for BCMA NAND flash driver(s)Rafał Miłecki
BCMA bus can contain NAND flash memory, it's registered in system as platform device. This adds required hooks and place for controler specific drivers. Signed-off-by: Rafał Miłecki <zajec5@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com>
