2024-06-21net: ethernet: rtsn: Add support for Renesas Ethernet-TSNNiklas Söderlund
Add initial support for Renesas Ethernet-TSN End-station device of R-Car V4H. The Ethernet End-station can connect to an Ethernet network using a 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, or 1 Gbps full-duplex link via MII/GMII/RMII/RGMII. Depending on the connected PHY. The driver supports Rx checksum and offload and hardware timestamps. While full power management and suspend/resume is not yet supported the driver enables runtime PM in order to enable the module clock. While explicit clock management using clk_enable() would suffice for the supported SoC, the module could be reused on SoCs where the module is part of a power domain. 2023-11-23net: ethernet: renesas: rcar_gen4_ptp: Break out to moduleNiklas Söderlund
The Gen4 gPTP support will be shared between the existing Renesas Ethernet Switch driver and the upcoming Renesas Ethernet-TSN driver. In preparation for this break out the gPTP support to its own module. A new Renesas driver shall be added soon. Prepare the Makefile by grouping the specific objects to the Kconfig symbol for better readability. Improve the file description a tad while here. 2022-11-02net: ethernet: renesas: Add support for "Ethernet Switch"Yoshihiro Shimoda
Add initial support for Renesas "Ethernet Switch" device of R-Car S4-8. The hardware has features about forwarding for an ethernet switch device. But, for now, it acts as ethernet controllers so that any forwarding offload features are not supported. So, any switchdev header files and DSA framework are not used. 2015-06-11Renesas Ethernet AVB PTP clock driverSergei Shtylyov
Ethernet AVB device includes the gPTP timer, so we can implement a PTP clock driver. We're doing that in a separate file, with the main Ethernet driver calling the PTP driver's [de]initialization and interrupt handler functions. Unfortunately, the clock seems tightly coupled with the AVB-DMAC, so when that one leaves the operation mode, we have to unregister the PTP clock... :-( Based on the original patches by Masaru Nagai. 2015-06-11Renesas Ethernet AVB driver properSergei Shtylyov
Ethernet AVB includes an Gigabit Ethernet controller (E-MAC) that is basically compatible with SuperH Gigabit Ethernet E-MAC. Ethernet AVB has a dedicated direct memory access controller (AVB-DMAC) that is a new design compared to the SuperH E-DMAC. The AVB-DMAC is compliant with 3 standards formulated for IEEE 802.1BA: IEEE 802.1AS timing and synchronization protocol, IEEE 802.1Qav real- time transfer, and the IEEE 802.1Qat stream reservation protocol. The driver only supports device tree probing, so the binding document is included in this patch. Based on the original patches by Mitsuhiro Kimura.
