The ROHM BD96806 is from the software perspective almost identical to the ROHM BD96802. The main difference is different voltage tuning ranges. Add support differentiating these PMICs based on the compatible, and invoking the regulator driver with correct IC type. The ROHM BD96802 PMIC looks from software point of view a lot like ROHM BD96801 PMIC. Just with reduced number of voltage rails. Both PMICs provide two physical IRQ lines referred as INTB and ERRB and contain blocks implementing regulator controls and a weatchdog. Hence it makes sense to use same MFD core for both PMICs. Add support for ROHM BD96802 scalable companion PMIC to the BD96801 core driver. 2021-11-29mfd: bd70528: Drop BD70528 supportMatti Vaittinen
The only known BD70528 use-cases are such that the PMIC is controlled from separate MCU which is not running Linux. I am not aware of any Linux driver users. Furthermore, it seems there is no demand for this IC. Let's ease the maintenance burden and drop the driver. We can always add it back if there is sudden need for it. 2021-11-24regulator: rohm-generic: remove unused dummiesMatti Vaittinen
Function rohm_regulator_set_voltage_sel_restricted() and rohm_regulator_set_dvs_levels() had inlined dummy implementations for cases when the real implementation was not configured in. All of the drivers who issue the call to these functions do SELECT the real implementation from the Kconfig. There should be no cases where the real implementation was not selected by the drivers using these functions - such a situation is likely to be an error which deserves to be noticed at compile-time. These dummies could in theory be used for compile-testing the drivers only (without the generic rohm regulator pieces). However, for such compile testing we should manually drop the selection from KConfig - and I guess that if it does not work out-of-the-box, then it is not going to happen. Especially when there should be no reason to omit compile-testing the generic rohm_regulator part. Crash test dummies. 2021-02-12regulator: bd718x7, bd71828, Fix dvs voltage levelsMatti Vaittinen
The ROHM BD718x7 and BD71828 drivers support setting HW state specific voltages from device-tree. This is used also by various in-tree DTS files. These drivers do incorrectly try to compose bit-map using enum values. By a chance this works for first two valid levels having values 1 and 2 - but setting values for the rest of the levels do indicate capability of setting values for first levels as well. Luckily the regulators which support setting values for SUSPEND/LPSR do usually also support setting values for RUN and IDLE too - thus this has not been such a fatal issue. Fix this by defining the old enum values as bits and fixing the parsing code. This allows keeping existing IC specific drivers intact and only slightly changing the rohm-regulator.c Fixes: 21b72156ede8b ("regulator: bd718x7: Split driver to common and bd718x7 specific parts") Signed-off-by: Matti Vaittinen <matti.vaittinen@fi.rohmeurope.com> Acked-by: Lee Jones <lee.jones@linaro.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20210212080023.GA880728@localhost.localdomain Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>

2020-01-24regulator: bd718x7: Split driver to common and bd718x7 specific partsMatti Vaittinen
Few ROHM PMICs allow setting the voltage states for different system states like RUN, IDLE, SUSPEND and LPSR. States are then changed via SoC specific mechanisms. bd718x7 driver implemented device-tree parsing functions for these state specific voltages. The parsing functions can be re-used by other ROHM chip drivers like bd71828. Split the generic functions from bd718x7-regulator.c to rohm-regulator.c and export them for other modules to use.
