2022-05-07ARM: pxa: convert to multiplatformArnd Bergmann
PXA is now ready to be built into a single kernel with all the other ARMv5 platforms, so change the Kconfig bit to finish it off. The mach/uncompress.h support is the last bit that goes away, getting replaced with the normal DEBUG_LL based approach. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2022-03-01ARM: PXA: fix up decompressor codeArnd Bergmann
The earlier removal of two boards caused a build regression, fix it by removing the extraneous '||'. Reported-by: kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com> Fixes: 28f74201e37c ("ARM: pxa: remove Intel Imote2 and Stargate 2 boards") Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
2022-02-28ARM: pxa: remove Intel Imote2 and Stargate 2 boardsJonathan Cameron
I have no reason to believe these boards have any more users and I haven't tested them for several years. Removing them may simplify other changes to the various PXA boards people still care about. The recent conversion of pxa2xx_spi to GPIO descriptors for example had to update this board despite no one caring or testing. Great boards that got me started in kernel development, RIP! 2013-01-11ARM: remove unused arch_decomp_wdog()Shawn Guo
With ARCH_HAS_DECOMP_WDOG removed from arch/arm/boot/compressed/decompress.c, all the arch_decomp_wdog() definition at platform level is unneeded. Remmove it. Signed-off-by: Shawn Guo <shawn.guo@linaro.org> Acked-by: Nicolas Pitre <nico@linaro.org> Acked-by: Jason Cooper <jason@lakedaemon.net>
2011-05-07ARM: zImage: remove the static qualifier from global data variablesNicolas Pitre
To be able to relocate the .bss section at run time independently from the rest of the code, we must make sure that no GOTOFF relocations are used with .bss symbols. This usually means that no global variables can be marked static unless they're also const. Let's remove the static qualifier from current offenders, or turn them into const variables when possible. Next commit will ensure the build fails if one of those is reintroduced due to otherwise enforced coding standards for the kernel. 2010-03-22[ARM] pxa: fix for variables in uncompress.h being discardedJonathan Cameron
Due to commit: 5de813b ARM: Eliminate decompressor -Dstatic= PIC hack The data section will be discarded for the decompressor, thus move the static variables into BSS section by initializing them at run time. 2010-03-02[ARM] pxa/zeus: Allow usage of 8250-compatible UART in uncompressMarc Zyngier
Zeus console port is wired to a 8250-compatible device (pxa UARTs are reserved to other uses). This patch allows such a configuration in the uncompress sequence. Signed-off-by: Marc Zyngier <maz@misterjones.org> Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.y.miao@gmail.com>
2010-03-02[ARM] pxa: refactor uncompress.h for non-PXA uartsEric Miao
The original patch came from Marc Zyngier where support of 8250-compatible UART is required to show the uncompress information. Modified a little bit here, including changes below: 1. #include <mach/regs-uart.h> is actually not necessary 2. introduced uart_{read,write}() for different base and shift 3. introduced uart_is_enabled() and assumed enabled always for non-PXA uarts Signed-off-by: Eric Miao <eric.y.miao@gmail.com> Acked-by: Marc Zyngier <maz@misterjones.org>
2009-09-10[ARM] pxa: balloon3 (http://balloonboard.org/) base machine supportJonathan McDowell
So, again against latest pxa-linux-2.6/devel, with the following changes: * Move to __raw_readl/__raw_writel for FPGA/CPLD register access * Change Toppoly LCD config to be selectable at run time rather than compile time. * Remove currently unused irq device suspend/resume functions. * Strip out unnecessary/duplicated #includes. * Some code style cleanups. 2008-12-17[ARM] pxa: initial support for the Imote2 platformJonathan Cameron
Changes made as suggested by Eric Miao (including fix to map_io silly mistake!). Originally designed by Intel, now sold by Crossbow (www.xbow.com). Very little actually on board. The patch includes sensors and similar as found on commonly occurring daughter boards. Some of the drivers are not in mainline as yet as they are either part of the IIO subsystem or need a lot of work before submission. What is the position wrt to putting them in i2c board configs etc? Support for these boards has been maintained outside the kernel for a long time, but now that there is a good da9030 pmic driver available the last major hurdle no longer exists. All comments welcomed. The Imote2's big brother (stargate2) will follow once any problems with this one have been cleaned up and a few bits and bobs have been added to the da903x driver. Hopefully the cc2420 driver will get cleaned up and submitted in the not too distant future as well.
