2021-01-15x86/platform/geode: Convert alix LED to GPIO machine descriptorLinus Walleij
Look up the LED from a GPIO machine descriptor table. The Geode LEDs should be on the CS5535 companion chip. 2016-02-16x86/platform: Make platform/geode/alix.c explicitly non-modularPaul Gortmaker
The Kconfig currently controlling compilation of this code is: arch/x86/Kconfig:config ALIX arch/x86/Kconfig: bool "PCEngines ALIX System Support (LED setup)" ...meaning that it currently is not being built as a module by anyone. Lets remove the modular code that is essentially orphaned, so that when reading the driver there is no doubt it is builtin-only. Since module_init translates to device_initcall in the non-modular case, the init ordering remains unchanged with this commit. We replace module.h with moduleparam.h since the file does declare some module parameters, and leaving them as such is currently the easiest way to remain compatible with existing boot arg use cases. We also delete the MODULE_LICENSE tag etc. since all that information is already contained at the top of the file in the comments. 2012-03-06x86/geode/alix2: Supplement driver to include GPIO button supportPhilip Prindeville

2012-01-13module_param: make bool parameters really bool (arch)Rusty Russell
module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au>
2011-09-21x86: geode: New PCEngines Alix system driverEd Wildgoose
This new driver replaces the old PCEngines Alix 2/3 LED driver with a new driver that controls the LEDs through the leds-gpio driver. The old driver accessed GPIOs directly, which created a conflict and prevented also loading the cs5535-gpio driver to read other GPIOs on the Alix board. With this new driver, we hook into leds-gpio which in turn uses GPIO to control the LEDs and therefore it's possible to control both the LEDs and access onboard GPIOs Driver is moved to platform/geode as requested by Grant and any other geode initialisation modules should move here also This driver is inspired by leds-net5501.c by Alessandro Zummo. Ideally, leds-net5501.c should also be moved to platform/geode. Additionally the driver relies on parts of the patch: 7f131cf3ed ("leds: leds-alix2c - take port address from MSR) by Daniel Mack to perform detection of the Alix board.
