2025-02-12drm/amd/display/dc: add support for oem i2c in atom_firmware_info_v3_1Alex Deucher
The fields are marked as reserved in atom_firmware_info_v3_1, but thet contain valid data in all of the vbios images I've looked at so add parse these fields as per atom_firmware_info_v3_2. 2025-01-10drm/amd/display: Update chip_cap defines and usageMichael Strauss
[WHY] The defines have also been updated with prefix AMD_ and atomfirmware.h has been temporarily updated with both sets of defines to allow the transition. This update is being made to standardize workaround chip_cap flags, in order to support more workaround flags in the future. [HOW] Updated EXT_DISPLAY_PATH_CAPS__DP_FIXED_VS_EN define, the flag is now an enum masked by EXT_DISPLAY_PATH_CAPS__EXT_CHIP_MASK. All checks for DP_FIXED_VS_EN are now performed by masking with EXT_CHIP_MASK and checking for an exact match rather than the previous bitwise AND check. An upstream bug report suggests that there are production dGPUs that are older than DCN401 but still have a umc_info in VBIOS tables with the same version as expected for a DCN401 product. Hence, reading this tables should be guarded with a version check. 2024-04-30drm/amd/display: Atom Integrated System Info v2_2 for DCN35Gabe Teeger
New request from KMD/VBIOS in order to support new UMA carveout model. This fixes a null dereference from accessing Ctx->dc_bios->integrated_info while it was NULL. DAL parses through the BIOS and extracts the necessary integrated_info but was missing a case for the new BIOS version 2.3. 2023-04-11drm/amd: Fix an out of bounds error in BIOS parserMario Limonciello
The array is hardcoded to 8 in atomfirmware.h, but firmware provides a bigger one sometimes. Deferencing the larger array causes an out of bounds error. commit 4fc1ba4aa589 ("drm/amd/display: fix array index out of bound error in bios parser") fixed some of this, but there are two other cases not covered by it. 2023-01-17drm/amd/display: Skip backlight control delay on external powered linksTony Tascioglu
[Why] When an eDP panel is powered externally from a different GPU, we can avoid waiting for hardware sequencing delays when switching the backlight on/off as the display backlight is no longer powered by the original source. [How] This commit extends the 'link_powered_externally' variable to allow bypassing hardware delays for additional backlight commands and force the backlight on/off when a link is powered by another GPU. [Why&How] Firmware headers dictate that gpio_pin array only has a size of 8. The count returned from vbios however is greater than 8.
